@RTaub_ Maybe the islanders think so highly of Eklund that he was considered untouchable so his name wouldn’t be thrown around, cause by your logic Danny Nelson would be a better prospect than Eklund too

Aitcheson was a part of every possible deal at the deadline. He was the name that kept being mentioned, so for that to me he’s #1 on the rankings. People can disagree, but that’s just how I determine it.

@RTaub_ Kash scoring goals on and not being able to defend against 16/17 year olds in the OHL is not better than Eklund playing top 6 minutes in the best mens league outside of NA for 2 and a half seasons. I do respect the Gamzin love though

The Don is spot on. Privalov is right up there in 1st overall discussions (#1 on my list). Just so physically dominant at such a young age with a ton of skill to back it. A joy to watch

Nazar Privalov is a 6'4 C/LW out of Russia that could find his way into the #1 pick conversation in 2027. He is skilled, has great hands, a shot that he is very deceptive, averages nearly 3 hits a game playing 17 min a night & 7 shots a game. Nazar has 30G 19A 49P in 51GP in the MHL

Alexis Joseph vs Landon DuPont will be a fun conversation for the 1st overall pick 2027 NHL Draft. It's very early and anything can happen, but Joseph is a 6'5 Center with 24G 36A 60P in 54GP in the Q at 16 years old. He has the size, the hands, Hockey IQ, shot to be an elite player in the NHL for a long time. He averages 3:15 min on the PP and 1:42 min on the PK, he is over 50% on his Faceoffs.

@NHLFoley Just hard to wrap my head around how a defenseman who struggles to defend, retrieve, and break out the puck in a weaker OHL will be successful at the next level. He’s got plenty of offensive tools to work out as a heavy hitting, forecheck focused power forward though!
