Last year, the Rockies didn’t get their first home series win until July — 7/21-23 vs. St. Louis.
Tonight they got their first home series win of 2026, against Houston.

In theory, the Rockies could have claimed Yanquiel Fernandez to get him back, then put him back on waivers to clear the 40 man roster & be kept in the Rockies organization

Last year KC and Rams were only teams that rested QBs who had played all 16 before that (both backups lost game 17).
2 years ago KC, Ravens and 49ers all rested QB who had played first 16 (only KC won game 17).
All 5 teams won their 1st playoff game.

Using all QBs who didn't start the season opener (some starters injured, others benched for performance) I have backups as 34-75 (.312).
13 teams have used the same QBs every game (9 of them are in the playoffs), including both the #Broncos and Chargers.

@RealStatzman You know how I think - could it be lower if there is a final game of the year when the back up QB starts…over years?

@MILEHIMARC I actually thought about that as well when doing it!
Yes it is lower: 5-14 (.263). Of the 5 QBs who won (Davis Mills, Carson Wentz, Jaxson Dart, Mac Jones and Marcus Mariota), Mac Jones was the only one to win on the road.

The Heat have scored 40+ points in 2 quarters (so far) against the #Nuggets. This is the 2nd game this year that Denver has allowed two 40-point quarters (Spurs on 11/28/25). Last year the Cavs also did that (12/27/24).
Before those Denver last allowed 2 40-point quarters in 1991.
