At approximately 7pm today in Kherson, while me and @Bartaway were filming humanitarian rescue efforts with German aid workers, the rescue operation was shelled by the Russian military. A British volunteer and friend, John Jones, was injured by the shelling targeting the evacuation boat. He is currently in the hospital getting treatment for his injuries. He is in stable condition. The rest of us are ok. At the time of the shelling, there were no military personnel present. This is not the first time the Russian military has done this, and will most likely not be the last. Here is a picture I took of John shortly before the shelling. He is a good hearted and joyful man who loves to make those around him laugh. Everyone here wishes for his quick and speedy recovery.
