One of these statements is a fact, the other is a propagandistic lie. Saying that the fact and the lie are equivalent in their dogmatism and disregard for complexity is itself a propagandistic falsehood. Telling the truth about the trans issue resolves every conundrum. Declining to tell the truth makes the issue impossible to resolve.

A whole lot of the trans debate is unproductive because it consists of trans people saying "trans women are women and that slogan solves everything" and TERF's and right wingers saying "trans women are men and that slogan solves everything". In fact, it's all really complex.

State TV called them “war-time traitors.” Now they’re on a bus back to Iran, flashing the SOS hand signal through the window. I call on Australian government to them. Don’t send them back to danger. Everything that happened tonight in Australia and Iranian women’s football team. The Iranian-Australian community gathered outside the stadium initially just to chant against the regime and show love to our players who days prior refused to sing the regime’s anthem. As the bus was leaving Iranians started shouting “stay!” and “don’t leave” because only 3 days ago the players were threatened on national TV and called “wartime traitors” needing of “harsh punishment” Suddenly the girls communicated “help” to the Iranian fans using sign language from inside the bus, confirming all our worries about their lives being in danger. Iranians then quickly rushed to close the road and stop the bus to save their lives, but the Australian police stepped it and stopped us. We witnessed hostage taking in-front of our own eyes. Truly a dark day for women’s sports.

@jk_rowling Your feed is mostly politics, but I'll post this here anyway. I’ve just seen your post on my feed and remembered that five years ago I wanted to thank you if I ever had the opportunity. I thought, “Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today.” Your book The Christmas Pig was the first big book my five-year-old child ever read on his own. As the chapters were quite short, he started in the autumn and read one chapter a day, finishing it on Christmas Day. As he read it aloud, I was able to hear the whole story. I truly believe it is one of the best children’s books of our time that I’ve come across, and I think it should be part of the school curriculum. I also read The Ickabog, which was spot on as well. It really makes a difference. By now, my child has also read all of the Harry Potter books. I hope you’ll see this message.
