@MoneyJrod @HeroDividend The question is then, “do we really want the government to be using OUR money to get some amount of control/influence over American companies?” The answer is no. Unfortunately, the SS fund is just stuck owning government bonds and giving us poor returns

@MoneyJrod @HeroDividend So why can’t we invest that money in the market? Then we can all make better returns so we can get fatter checks in retirement. Win win right? If the government used that money to buy stocks, they’d get voting shares in those companies; and therefore some control in those stocks

@bestfilmeverpod Howdy! Didn’t get a chance to send y’all a Christmas message because I suck sometimes, but I hope the gang has a merry Christmas! Looking forward to more fantastic content in 2023 and perhaps another chance to throw in my own two pence on a movie with y’all!

My wife just got an advertisement on the mail from Walmart that they are now doing personal loans up to $50k and up to 36% interest. So I guess if you live in a state where payday lenders are illegal, at least you have Walmart.

Remember that during the Gold Rush, the people that made the most money were the ones selling the mining supplies Today, we have evolved to online gurus that make money showing how to mine using their “proven system” instead of actually using their system. No pickax required!

Yahoo Finance just sent out their Morning Brief where they showed that 44% of companies are rescinding job offers. All that’s going to do is kill the “two week notice”. After all, If my new job isn’t secure, then I’m not leaving the one I have until my start date.

We’ll gang, it’s been a tough 4 months, but yesterday I finally received my Private Pilot’s License!! It’s been a few weeks since my last episode and I’ve definitely been slacking on Twitter from all the studying, but hopefully I’ll be less busy from here on out!

Starting to look like a good time to roll a traditional account into a Roth account. However I think I’m going to sit until we’re officially in a recession an see if I can do this rollover with a lower tax bill.
