@Protarn Most of the urban fantasy I've seen is through anime. This setting is actually one of my older worlds. I'm very attached to it, so I've been practicing my writing and art so I can do it justice.

@politicalmath The Victorian era had quite a lot of new fairy tales. Like The Little Mermaid, The Princess and the Goblin, or The Heart of Princess Joan. It was probably the height of fairy tale inspired stories.

It's so funny to me that Pinocchio isn't some ancient folklore or mythology. It's a book written in 1881. Pinocchio is younger than Frankenstein and Tom Sawyer. x.com/ThatEricAlper/…
