Given the strong backlash, widespread discussion, and the volume of reactions online, could you clarify your level of involvement in the casting process? You previously mentioned you were not directly involved and did not have the authority to make or change casting decisions. In that context, how should fans reconcile that with your strong endorsement of the series? Many fans care deeply about fidelity to the source material—especially when it comes to characters as central and narratively significant as Snape—and would genuinely appreciate your perspective. @HBO @wbd @caseybloys @StreamOnMax — this casting decision has left a significant portion of the fanbase feeling disconnected from what could have otherwise been a highly anticipated and faithful adaptation. It would be a wise move to #recastsnape if possible.
