@ellenmfanning @Qantas I was on that. It was appalling from the start. No notifications until airborne. Delayed, then delayed, slept on a couch in the lounge, then eventually told it would be 6am (8 hours after landing in Singapore) then told it would leave the next day. The got Emirates via Dubai…

@Anncaro11 @SatPaper @NSWSEPLA @NSWSPC @nswppa That ‘inclusion’ can only occur in mainstream settings is folly. We value specialists in every other aspect of our lives. Why would anyone argue for a one-size model in which everyone miraculously, and instantly has equity. This ignores parent choice, which everyone else has!

@SatPaper The educational access provided by these schools are a lifeline to some of our most vulnerable children and young people. To close these settings would not be equity, many would lose all inclusion in education. @NSWSEPLA @MattJohnsonNet @NSWSPC @nswppa

The trend of closing down specialist-needs schools, which some have argued is discriminatory and ghettoising.
It’s a contested idea, but generally speaking the argument for equity has triumphed over tailored, specialist education.
