People act like the Book of Mormon is easy to dismiss. Then explain the witnesses. Explain the complexity. Explain the consistency. Explain the doctrine. Explain the prophetic power. Explain why millions have gone to God, tested it, and come away changed. Mockery is not an argument.

@DrawingThings90 The argument is not every religion is true. The argument is that dismissing the Book of Mormon is not as easy as critics act like it is. That point still stands.

@MattTestifies Matt, once again you present a lousy argument. Other religions can use this same exact argument. And as far as consistency goes Mormonism is one of the most inconsistent religions. The BOM is monotheistic whereas the POGP is polytheistic.

@WolfBritton That still does not get you where you want to go. A strained relationship with Joseph Smith later is not a clean reversal of the witness they gave.

@MattTestifies Most witnesses never physically saw the plates, they described a “spiritual eye” experience. Martin Harris said the vision was “like seeing with spiritual eyes.” Several left the church and called Joseph Smith a fallen prophet.

The only argument they make is that it is the devil tricking everyone… so riddle me this… a loving God decides to stop revealing and helping humanity but Satan still has all power to do what we according to creeedal Christians… I believe in a God who is not dead but is surely alive.

@gypsy_pink1 Acts 11, Acts 21, Ephesians 4, 1 Corinthians 12 through 14. The New Testament does not act like prophecy was about to expire.

@mr__jpc Paul did not say God could never restore, never call, never reveal, and never reestablish authority. You are loading all of that into the text yourself.

@MattTestifies Paul is very explicit. Any gospel not coming out from what the apostles and disciples of Christ wrote is just another gospel. No apostolic succession, no saints, empty. You know it, I know it.
