Was this a glimpse of Rob-ball? Vilahamn-ball? There is not yet a name for the fluid style of play which Robert Vilahamn has introduced since his arrival this summer but this victory against Tottenham’s biggest rivals was its defining moment (so far)

The ratio of touches in final third was Spurs 165: Bristol 108. Compare that to penalty area and it's 22:24 Bristol advtg. Spurs great at progressing ball. Less at final pass.

Looking at info on @Spurswomen's shots on Sunday. Some notable bits:
- our xG was 1.0; Bristol's 1.9. So we scored from relatively poor chances & Bristol failed to from better.
- only shot on target in 2nd half: Jess.
- increasingly reliant on Ash 2nd half to initiate chances.

@JamesTMaw Totally agree, but the flip side is that criticising the board for this decision specifically is not uncontroversial. Our footballing decline over the last 6 years is uncontroversial and that's what we should be examining.

Personal opinion: People saying ‘what are you on about, this is a good deal, he would have left on a free next year’ should consider both how that situation has come about and the quality of decision making at the top of the club since Kane signed that contract in 2018.
