When it comes to their big budget CG Godzilla films, Toho handles it personally. But suitmation Godzilla projects, Toho may consider teaming their funds in joint with fan crowdfunding. Fans get more legacy Godzilla works, the world gets more Godzilla content. BUT if Toho travels down this road, then I hope that they pitch projects worth fan backing. Scrapped fights/films. Continued stories. New match offs. Like their Final Wars/Hedorah anniversary short, Godzilla vs. Hedorah , essentially delivering their scrapped "what if" match up that was hype marketing for the 2004 film. #Godzilla

Fans love these kind of stories but really they just paint him as a thin-skinned capitalist who doesn’t respect other songwriters or their rights to their own work. There’s plenty of musicians that I think make bad music but I’d never want them to lose autonomy over their work.
