Every time the games industry has done something you hate, their stock almost always goes up. You haven't been their customer for over a decade. Investors are.

Asmongold goes OFF, saying "It's mind boggling that people still don't understand this. No matter whether it's physical or digital, you never truly own it” after people complained about "having" less ownership following Sony's PlayStation decision to move away from physical media copies 👀😬 “This is what makes me so mad about this just because you buy a digital version doesn't mean that you should be giving up any of your consumer rights. And this concept and this dichotomy between physical and digital editions they are just almost assumed that you have less ownership of them is bullsh*t. It is a false dichotomy that has been created by companies in order to give you the illusion that you have control. Whenever you buy a disc of something, but the disc is running on software, they can choose not to run the program”

Digital ownership is the only way to truly own your games, it aint that hard. @DoesItPlay1 is part of the movement for exactly that (and cause we like our discs). Love or hate @Asmongold, but he’s completely right here: you can lose access to your game even if it’s on disc.

Reminder that investors LOVED that Sony spit in the face of customers to skim their bottom line. Its not only a moment in history for everyone to protect their ownership but also a strong message to Sony that customers come before investors.

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. says the government plans to ban violent online games found to desensitize children to violence. “I think we should ban them. And we will ban them,” Marcos said. He added that the government will first study which games have that effect before introducing any ban. “Here’s the problem… we have to determine which games are really responsible for the desensitization of children to violence,”
