Great news for @StopKilingGames! "CA Assembly Appropriations Committee just voted YES to move the bill to the Assembly floor." - @Moritz_Katzner @ChrisWardCA and California waltzed over the gaslighting non-arguments from the ESA. We are one step closer to our goal!

@StopKilingGames how do you think this will affect digital games that are primarily single player like for example crimson desert will this allow us to own the game even if it does not need internet to connect to play or verify license

The industry is lobbying hard against @StopKilingGames The ESA is now pulling the same moves in the US that VGE used in Europe. Opposing AB 1921 (California’s POG Act). They’re using the same tired scripts: ❌ "Games are licensed" ❌ "Servers are complex" ❌ "Too expensive"

Pure villain behavior from the ESA once again. At this point, it should be a PR liability to be part of this group. Imagine opposing customer rights and the preservation of history. Couldn't look ourselves in the face anymore, if that was our stance.

The industry is lobbying against @StopKilingGames again. Entertainment Software Association (lobby) is opposing AB 1921, California’s Protect Our Games Act, with the usual arguments: “games are licensed,” “servers are complicated,” “security risks,” “too expensive.”
