Stephen Bunting on beating Luke Littler: "Thankfully, he is human! It's tough because the crowd was giving him some stick. I like Luke because he's a fantastic lad and I don't like to see that."

❌ LUKE LITTLER IS OUT at the hands of Stephen Bunting in the quarter-final in Brighton, losing 6-4 and averaging a mere 83.94. The crowd were certainly against 'The Nuke' in that one as the league leader even changed his darts in an attempt to get back into that match. #Darts

Hold on, I'm a bit confused now....has Van Leuven been banned from ALL darts? Looking through a lot of the comments on my T/L it seems that way. 🤷

This is actually unbelievable. The PDC is publishing this bullshit and using it as reasoning. “Well it’s a Women’s Tour and we don’t see Trans Women as Women” would be more understandable than these obvious lies. Shameful day for the Sport.

I’ve been trying to think of 80s and 90s cricketers who missed out on the franchise revolution, but who may have been big money players (if they’d had the chance). So far I’ve got: Sir Viv Richards Sir Curtly Ambrose Courtney Walsh Sir Ian Botham Darren Gough Graham Gooch Robin Smith Kapil Dev Anil Kumble Mohammad Azharuddin Allan Donald Lance Klusener Javed Miandad Saeed Anwar Imran Khan Wasim Akram Waqar Younis Who have I missed out?

Perhaps the greatest batsman-wicketkeeper ever. And although people will quote endless stats, to me he was England’s version of Rahul Dravid - bat anywhere, keep wicket, captain… And do them all fearlessly, with fierce integrity, keeping team ahead of self. All while being immaculately turned out. If cricket was a battle and the battlefield was a cricket pitch, I would want him beside me. Happy birthday, Alec Stewart of @surreycricket! #Cricket #AlecStewart

@PompeyPedro Refereeing in football is probably the most protected group of people in the world. Apparently referees in Football never get a decision wrong.... Its madness

A very enlightening 24hrs engaging with the Twitter refereeing community about the fitness levels of the professionals we often see at Fratton Park Perhaps unsurprisingly they have been, almost to a man: rude, insulting, thin skinned and cowardly in their approach to debate 🤣

Why did you stoop so low as this just because your team has had a shocker all season?
Pompey Pedro@PompeyPedro

@refsupportuk This is a genuine question @refsupportuk not even on the windup Staggers me how many refs we get at this level who clearly don’t look after themselves Smith today was a significant unit and had a visibly wobbling gut which to me, feels sub optimal for a professional official

Intriguing opening round for England potentials! Hundreds for Gay, Rew and Foakes. Wickets for Robinson, Potts and Cook (& Anderson 🙃). Missed opportunities for the likes of Sibley, Tribe and Hameed. Anyone else in the frame that's gone well? Mousley? Haines?
