Every country thinks they should use “Foreign Refs” In European games, they still are not happy. The problem is that clubs and fans around the world are never happy unless every decision goes their way. It’s embarrassing to see and they never read the room. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

"WHAT IS VAR?! It was a huge mistake...Ollie Watkins was close to breaking his ankle" 😡 Aston Villa boss Unai Emery was incensed, believing Nottingham Forest's Elliot Anderson should have been sent off for a challenge on Watkins.

@Craigyrobbo81 @refsupportuk Ok with VAR fair enough, but you think cheating is mostly easy to spot on field in the moment? 😂😂

Rogers booked, and Villa fans sing "you're not fit to referee" yet replays show he got it right. Go figure. Take the bias out of the equation and they may see he was right (or just watch the replay). @refsupportuk

@gelfred12 @matt39728060 @refsupportuk He absolutely doesn't "defend every decision" - that's just untrue as is your assertion it was "season defining" - no single incident defines a season, the season is defined by them all being added together 👍

The Delusion of some fans is breath taking 🤦‍♂️

@refsupportuk Well yes. Last minute of the final game and gave a goal that didnt cross the line, which gave Stevenage the playoff spot instead of Luton. So yes, season defining

@matt39728060 @refsupportuk Would we have won if it was given? Who knows. Would we have stayed up instead of going down? Probably not (relegated by 5 points). Was it a disgrace, corruption, conspiracy? Nah, it was just a mistake, we all make 'em. Life goes on.

@matt39728060 @refsupportuk Nope. "Season defining" is the hundreds of thousands of decisions and actions of the 11 players and their opponents, on top of a similar number from coaches, managers, boards, medical teams etc etc. Yes, refs also have an impact but in isolation they do not 'define' anything.

@refsupportuk Looks very tight. But to call it season defining is a bit if a stretch. Luton were shot for 4 months at the start

@matt39728060 @refsupportuk There was an assistant referee stood in line who said it did. Unless there’s conclusive evidence to say otherwise, then we have to assume it was correct
