I am one proud mom….my Ayden @AydenMarti82999 did amazing in his first college exposure shootout, receiving MVP for 2 out of the 3 games he played.

@jessemorgan88 I'm not sure how I stumbled onto your page, but I just read all of the posts about Lucy. As a mama of 4 kids, my heart aches for you and your family. I cannot begin to fathom your pain. Sending so much love your way and praying for peace and comfort for you and your family.

No blog post today. Lucy Lynn Morgan passed away this morning around 4am. She now sees Jesus face to face. Thank you for all your love poured out to us. Here’s a picture from our goodbyes earlier yesterday on June 4.

Eclipse glow day learning was a success! We practiced main idea with an eclipse passage, made diagrams of the parts of an eclipse, worked on our eclipse WIN projects, did our math using highlighters, and ended our day watching the eclipse happen! 🌖😎 #OakFlatProud #bssdproud

Where did all the numbers go!? 3rd graders strengthened their critical thinking skills by practicing numberless word problems. Students had to figure out what operations to use BEFORE the missing numbers were revealed! #OakFlatProud #bssdproud

3rd graders got to use Scholastic News magazines to identify text features and discuss how each one helped them understand the article. Each group read 1 article, marked the text features up with sticky notes, and then shared out to the other groups! #OakFlatProud #bssdproud

Ended up matching with these 2 beautiful humans today without even planning it! Blessed to call them coworkers and friends! #OakFlatProud #bssdproud

Today we became party planners! In math, students had to design a layout for a game night, with several different games that each allowed for a different number of players. They used manipulatives and collaborated to decide on the best design! #OakFlatProud #bssdproud

Day 3 of 3rd grade...who says multiplication facts have to be boring!? We learned "8 x 8 is 64, now we're going out the door!" and recite it anytime we leave the classroom. Then we played blooket during the last 10 minutes of the day and had a blast! #OakFlatProud #bssdproud

Day 2 of 3rd grade brought discussions of collaboration and critical thinking! We individually brainstormed answers, then collaborated to come up with a great collective answer! In the afternoon we used critical thinking to build index card towers! #OakFlatProud #bssdproud
