~20 years L/S hedge fund career, emphasis on the S. All things stocks, themes and macro. Hoping the pod and passive bubble keeps creating inefficiencies

A public / private partnership with the White House and the homebuilders is looking increasingly likely. This will 1) boost housing supply 2) be politically popular 3) be profitable for both the homebuilders and the taxpayer. It would be an opportunity for @realDonaldTrump @howardlutnick and @pulte to do a deal that would make money similar to the Intel transaction. I believe management teams of the homebuilders at $DHI $LEN $TOL $DFH etc would go for this solution. See the link below for details on how a transaction like this could work. @pg175/a-real-fix-for-americas-housing-crisis-6a0f54664e0e" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">medium.com/@pg175/a-real-… @BillAckman

Some positive data from Freenome $PCSC a couple days ago. For the study, an AI/ML classifier was trained on tissue (n=136) and plasma (n=6,716) samples. The test's accuracy was evaluated in 673 plasma samples, including 363 lung cancer cases across all stages and 310 cancer-negative controls, from individuals matching the intended screening population (adults aged 50-80 with high-risk smoking history). In this cohort, Freenome's proprietary multiomics platform -- using base-resolution methylation sequencing of circulating cell-free DNA (cfDNA) and plasma protein immunoassays -- achieved adjusted sensitivity* of 90.7% at 50% specificity and 80.4% at 75% specificity for detecting lung cancer. The multiomic approach outperformed a methylation-only version of the test, which showed adjusted sensitivities of 85.8% and 78.2% at the same specificity thresholds. The multiomics test detected lung cancer across all three subtypes evaluated in this study (adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and small-cell lung cancer) and across all disease stages, including an adjusted sensitivity of 77.1% at 50% specificity for Stage I cases. prnewswire.com/news-releases/…

$BLND getting a second chance to buy some after decent quarter. Haveli and the company are out of the black-out period by tomorrow or monday at the latest. Expect the buying from insiders to resume shortly.

@Thedude69750960 @markpinc I believe this is in process, given that they moved it to a seperate subsidiary. They may look to spin it out or sell it off.

@MultiMismanaged @markpinc Time for Spiegel to take the L on Specs. Sell the asset or spin it off already. He’s not a college kid anymore. He is 36 year old father of 3 that has been CEO of a publicly traded company for almost 10 years. Time to grow up.

$CWH at essentially all-time lows is spring-loaded to rally from these levels. Just Good Sam alone is about half of the current EBITDA of the company (About $110M) and could be a 15x business, or more than 2x the current market cap of CWH of just $700M.

each 100bps drop in SOFR adds about $35M of EBITDA, very plausible that this happens in the next 3 to 6 months.

$CWH will also be a material beneficiary of SOFR rate cuts, as it boosts both floor plan net interest income (hugely liability sensitive), reduced Term loan cost, and boosts consumer demand for RVs.

They published a long research report this morning including acquisition math for $APP acquiring $SNAP. "AppLovin may build or buy a new social media platform. If true, we believe the strategic merits are sound. However, history suggests ~80% of new social media launches fail. Even among successful firms, adoption is slow. As such, the alternative path – acquiring a social media firm – may make more sense. However, we believe the tech solutions vary considerably among firms. This may pose challenges among the public social firms. As such, we believe the smartest approach would be for AppLovin to first build an AI-centric social tech stack and then acquire a public social media firm."

Citi out with a note today suggesting that $APP should acquire $SNAP. The math and strategic benefit makes sense
