Ex-Convict Shot Dead At Tavern: Amaoti – KZN A 41-year-old man, who was released from prison last month following a conviction for robbery, was shot and killed outside at a tavern in Amaoti – KZN. Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene at approximately 21:14 following reports of a shooting. On arrival, Reaction Officers found that the victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds & was declared deceased at the scene. His sister confirmed his identity. The motive for the murder was not immediately established. Multiple spent 9mm cartridges were recovered at the scene.
