Don’t look away: This morning, Trump vowed to reinstate his family separation policy, slash the Department of Education, weaponize the Department of Justice, & suggested there’d be violence if he’s arrested. This isn’t normal. We must vote for Joe Biden this election. Full stop.

A few people have asked why I vehemently oppose Trump.
Let me make this perfectly clear. It's not about politics. I've voted for both parties.
It's about me, as a patriot, rejecting a cheating, lying, racist, treasonous, fascist, and vile man who attacks the free press, and wants to lead the country I love.
It's really that simple.

Yes, if Trump wins, our flawed democracy almost certainly fails. As Paul Krugman says, this is an important point for people who think not voting for Biden is somehow strategic. For others, it's more important that the right result in November means a better democracy and a chance for ever better policy.

There is another false argument floating around that the prosecution did not reveal the crime Trump was accused of committing until closing argument. That’s false. The offenses were charged in the indictment and the unlawful means were disclosed in legal filings in November 2023.
