in 2016 the NHS tried to cut headcount; managers, admin, back office.
redundancy cheques were huge
the work didn’t go away. It came back as consultants on day-rates, interims and agency cover.
Consultancy spend trebbled to £22.65m in just two years.

Until the Daily Mail started its smear campaign a couple of weeks ago I didn’t really know much about Angela Rayner.

@jtweeterson I agree. I would characterise it as strategy built on wishful thinking. Impossible challenges causing staff to either give up and leave, gaslight, or be vilified for not getting on board the magic bus. Need to see more on this!
