Introducing Octo Protocol: A New Era of Multi-Chain Wallets and True Decentralization (Built on @ikadotxyz) 🐙 Managing multiple wallets across different blockchains is inefficient and error-prone. Octo Protocol solves this with dWallets (Decentralized Wallets), a breakthrough technology that allows you to control 15+ chains from one secure interface, without sacrificing speed or security. What Makes dWallets Different? Traditional multi-sig or custodial wallets still rely on trust. dWallets do not. Octo Protocol uses 2PC-MPC (Two-Party Computation + Multi-Party Computation) to ensure that your private key is never fully generated, stored, or exposed in one place. Built on the Ika protocol and the Sui blockchain, cryptographic control is split between you and a decentralized network. This means no single party, can access your funds. How the Technology Works Our system is powered by advanced elliptic curve cryptography supporting: SECP256K1: Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other EVM chains ED25519: Solana, Cardano, NEAR From one key derivation, you can interact seamlessly across chains. Key innovations include: Distributed Key Generation (DKG) Client-side signing with presign optimization Fully non-custodial architecture You hold an encrypted key share secured by your password. The network performs threshold-based signing to complete transactions without exposing the complete key. User Experience Creating a Bitcoin transaction feels identical to sending on Solana Addresses for all supported chains are automatically derived Transaction broadcasting is seamless across all environments Testnet integrations are live and ready to use This is not just another wallet. It is foundational infrastructure for true multi-chain DeFi. How to Get Started Step 1: Get Testnet Tokens - Claim SUI testnet tokens - Acquire IKA testnet tokens - Connect any compatible Sui wallet (@Nightly_app) Step 2: Create Your First dWallet - Navigate to “Create Wallet” - Select ECDSA (Bitcoin/EVM) or EdDSA (Solana/Cardano/NEAR) - DKG automatically generates distributed key shares - Wait 30–60 seconds for network verification Step 3: Activate Your Wallet - Go to “My Wallets” - Select “Activate Now” - 2PC-MPC verifies key shares with the network - Your wallet becomes ready for multi-chain operations Step 4: Manage Multiple Chains - View balances across 9+ supported networks - Use a unified interface for all transactions - Experience fast signing powered by presign optimization - Watch automatic address generation for each chain Step 5: Explore Advanced Capabilities - Test cross-chain operations - Track your multi-chain portfolio in real time - Enjoy non-custodial security with no exposed private keys - Control multiple ecosystems from one wallet Why This Matters dWallets represent a new security model. Instead of: Full key control (traditional wallets), or Third-party trust (custodial systems), Octo Protocol distributes trust while keeping you in full control. Even in cases where some network nodes are compromised, the threshold signature model ensures your funds remain secure. Experience the Technology Our testnet playground showcases the full capabilities of dWallets: bridging assets, interacting with DeFi across chains, or simply managing a diverse portfolio, all from a single interface. One wallet. Infinite possibilities. Experience secure, simple, truly decentralized multi-chain Web3. Try it now: octoprotocol.xyz

One wallet. Every chain. No bridges. @ikadotxyz — here's why: Your Sui wallet creates a dWallet. The private key is split into two encrypted shares: one you control, one distributed across Ika's validator network. Neither share is useful alone. When you want to sign a transaction on Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin, or any supported chain — Ika's 2PC-MPC protocol combines both shares to produce a valid native signature. No bridges. No wrapping. No extra seed phrases. One key controls 15+ chains. That's the power of decentralized multi-party computation. @OctoProtocol

It's been a few months since we've been waiting for some @ikadotxyz based project to be released. Many have been announced but haven't launched yet, others have emerged in recent weeks, and others we don't know about because they haven't decided to announce them yet. With that in mind, this post will list all the ika-based projects that I follow and am aware of. If you know of any that aren't on the list, please leave them in the comments. So let's remember and learn about the new ika-based protocols? Check it out: @TakibiProtocol @Aeon_HQ @rheifinance @_StudioMirai @WaaPxyz @humntech @nativerse_xyz @goNativeCC @0xLegacyLink @__Inkwell @OctoProtocol @DripMarket @umiapp_ @detawallet @vtxcash To date, all are under development and haven't released anything truly functional yet, but save this list or follow them to keep up with their development.

Who’s building a new Sui DeFi app that earns me yield and points that I can accumulate while waiting for them to raise millions and TGE in 2026 so I can get a big fat airdrop? Anyone?

With Octo, dWallets are not just a concept or a visual abstraction. They are fully functional wallets that can already perform real send and receive transactions on testnet. Below is a simple breakdown of how a complete dWallet transaction works end to end: Step 1: Receive Testnet tokens are received directly into a dWallet, with addresses automatically derived for the destination blockchain. Octo provides a range of faucet providers. Step 2: Initiate A send transaction is created from the dWallet interface, using a consistent flow regardless of the target chain. Step 3: Sign The transaction is signed through a connected Sui wallet using 2PC-MPC. The wallet generates a cryptographic signature share locally, without ever accessing the destination chain’s private key. Step 4: Coordinate At the same time, the decentralized dWallet network generates the complementary signature share. At no point is the full private key reconstructed or exposed. Step 5: Execute Both signature shares are combined via threshold cryptography to produce a valid signature, and the transaction is broadcast successfully to the destination network. Throughout the entire process, custody remains fully with the user, key material stays distributed by design, and interacting across chains feels no different from using a single blockchain. day 1 in @SolanaConf everyone i met had their mind blown by two things: 1. how @ikadotxyz tech solves custody and interoperability ux without sacrificing decentralization and zero-trust for the first time in crypto history 2. my super cool shoes so here’s a deal - you deliver a working demo of something cool with ika by the end of the year, i send you a pair of super cool shoes

the great thing about crypto is you can open twitter and just discover someone published something that uses @ikadotxyz tech, without me knowing the team or having any idea this was happening i’ll take a look later this evening but if the demo works, shoes are on me
