The fact that you have 8 players out of a 20 man roster needing to be replaced (with others needing contracts) an entirely new coaching staff, and part of the search for 1 of those 9 players is a legit starting goalie, after 11 years of no goaltending is….2 things. 1. Hard to know how this team even was considered a contender. 2. Hard to think that you can fix that all in one offseason. Holland ruined this franchise. Bowman should also be replaced btw.

@JamesPitts_SCM He's not wrong. The team was average. The roster is below average in many positions.

@JamesPitts_SCM Captain on every team he's played on, save for the Olympics when he's an A. Doubt they put the C on him when Crosby was injured, just for the hell of it. I don't think anyone in the league would doubt his leadership. 🤷

@radke89 I would take a massive run at Cooper. I think he may be gone, if/when Tampa goes down. They'll need some changes there.

@DillyDilly97 @OilersRus Honestly. If you wanna solve oilers issue you have to make hard decisions. It’s time to move on from nuge and nurse. Both those can bring u some better value. Yes nurse contract sucks but u would have to eat money or throw a pick. Bob is a FA can focus that

@DillyDilly97 I just seem him slowing down more and more each season. His age and style of play could be big factors, sooner than later. Good still get a nice return at this point, but highly doubt he leaves anyway.

@OilersRus I think we’re stuck with Frederic. Not sure why’d you want Ekholm gone - he may have to play a reduced role but he’s still important. I also think he has a NMC after giving us a sweetheart deal.

@krippledkratos He's starting to slow down, with his age and style of play. Could take a big drop-off soon.

Oilers eliminated in the first round. What a huge disappointment this season was. Even bigger disappointment in the playoffs. No 1st Round pick this year, or next year. Woof. We wait to see the first shoe to drop.

Much like most of the season, the Oilers look disinterested, out of synch, and discombobulated. They need a fairly decent re-tool in the offseason. Far too many passengers, not enough hard workers. Perhaps some of it stems from the mediocre coaches.

More goals have gone in off Nurse this series, than the Oilers have scored as a team. He needs to GTFO of Oil Country.

Throw Jarry in.
