@JeffStanek1 Bad habits? It teaches good habits. On dirt and grass if you have a kid that pulls the ball in the air, great things generally happen. And if they don’t, who cares?!?!? Celebrate anyway. They learned a valuable skill. Very few games actually matter as a youth player.

Unequivocally false. It teaches bad habits to teach young players to look to pull the ball. That is NOT a skill that needs to be focused on, for the majority of baseball players in the world, before college or pro ball. They aren't ready for it / can't process it / can't make adjustments off of it. In a computer simulation or on a spreadsheet, teaching kids to pull the ball in the air makes all the sense in the world. On dirt and grass, it destroys hitters. I don't honestly care if you agree or disagree with me. I know what's true, and don't care to waste any more time arguing with you. All the best

If Tony Gwynn was a 2026 grad, some loser hitting development bozo would tell him he needs to hit more balls in the air to his pull side to maximize his potential. More about Gwynn, do you all realize that he stole 25+ bases 5 different season, & 319 for his career?! 🤯

@JeffStanek1 Unequivocally false. It doesn’t work for many youth players because they lack strength. But what it does for younger guys is totally different. It teaches them the skill that will become measurably more valuable as they age.

@Only1Field Bless him for sure. But, pulling the ball in the air doesn't work for every hitter at every age. In fact, for most, it doesn't work.

@JeffStanek1 You aren’t wrong. It is a lot different. That’s why he wrote a book telling everyone regardless of age, the importance of pulling the ball in the air. Bless him.

@Only1Field A lot different to tell a 30-some-year-old that who's already got that hitting thing figured out, than an 18-year-old who's still trying to define what a good hitter is.

@JeffStanek1 Ted Williams told Tony Gywnn to pull the ball in the air. It led to a late career “power surge” of sorts for Gywnn.

I am very pro-America in general but even I have to admit the red coat HR celebration by GBR is quite good.

@rotoballs i didn't root on china nor do i watch the great british bakeoff or care about their traditions like "is the actress from suits actually an anti-british commando set to destroy our great nation" sadly several americans do those things which is unfortunate behavior

@drivelinekyle Easier to see them in red here in an American field. Bold strategy, I wonder how that has played out historically?

If Yadier Molina ends up being a first ballot HOFer. Would he be properly rated or would you consider him overrated?

@nut_history I’d pay to go again. They are fun and the players are crazy talented. You want to see a guy who hits 97 from the left side? They had a guy. Backflip catches in the outfield? Guy on stilts? Flaming bats? Celebrity cameo? Free shirts? Great interactions with fans? Its amazing

If someone gave you a free ticket to go see a Banana Baseball game - would you go? It would be close to your house - nothing that could possibly get in the way, or anything.
