@Cairn_GRog This is ASAP1 (St. Pierre et al., 2014, Michael Lin lab)! Lots of good GEVIs these days, but the cpGFP in this one is in the extracellular space, which I'm using as a handle to tag for some control experiments. Multifunctional in this case!

There's a student in the lab who is having their biocytin filled cells disappear after a 1-2 days. They are fulled developed and brown, but after a few days they absolutely disappear. Anyone got any ideas on what would cause this? They are kept dark @OptoQuestion @MadScientistPhD

@MadScientistPhD @NeuroBill @Helena_LB I'm wondering if it's just diffusing away if its not treated in resin after. It's not bound to anything even if it isn't soluble.

@NeuroBill @MadScientistPhD Hmmmm. I've never seen that myself. I would always recommend nickel and even light osmium. Are you putting them in resin after or some other medium for mounting?
