Atiku Abubakar
Atiku Abubakar@atiku·
I have just read the communique released by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) under the leadership of His Grace Archbishop Daniel Okoh from the 2026 National Church Leaders Summit and I align with the concern and sympathies of the Church in Nigeria over the security of the lives of Nigerians. The demand for a comprehensive review of the nation’s security architecture, enhanced intelligence gathering, stronger inter-agency cooperation, improved operational effectiveness and greater accountability in the fight against terrorism, banditry and violent crime, are all fully in line with my position on the failure of the Tinubu-led Federal Government. It is encouraging for Nigerians to see Christians from various denominations and blocs unite in this spiritual wake-up call upon the political leadership to do better. From the Catholic Secretariat to the Christian Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (CPFN), the Organisation of African Instituted Churches to the TEKAN/ECWA and other Christian blocs in Nigeria, the declaration of a three-day period of national mourning should serve as moments of reflection for all political leaders, especially those in power with the responsibility to do better by Nigerians. As insecurity ravages without concern for religious or ethnic differences which have been made more glaring by the 360 degrees failure of the incumbent government, I commend this noble effort to hold the ruling party accountable and encourage solidarity from all Nigerians in this regard. I enjoin other faith organisations especially of the Muslim block to lend their voices to this wake-up call. On behalf of the political opposition whom Tinubu has ignored as well as the Nigerian people, I urge Tinubu to listen to this urgent call from CAN and diligently ponder his courses of action beyond rhetorics, at least for his remaining months in office. -AA guardian.ng/news/nigeria/m…

A man who cannot control his toxic devotees is talking about agendas. A man who hijacked the EndSARS movement and turned it into a personal political brand is now accusing his followers of unknowingly falling into different narratives and agendas, when he is the very person who set the stage and created the agenda in the first place. Instead of providing his supporters with a clear vision, defined goals, and an objective path on how to engage with others, he would rather encourage a culture of insults, intimidation, and bullying. When people refuse to be bullied into submission, he responds with lengthy posts blaming the very individuals who stood their ground, tactically garnishing his arguments with ethnic undertones. Rather than taking responsibility and demonstrating leadership for once, he continues to shift the blame elsewhere while subtly appealing to ethnic sentiments. Accountability remains absent, while excuses, deflection, and finger-pointing remain the order of the day.
Peter Obi@PeterObi

Dear Young Nigerians, One lesson from the 2023 elections, particularly in Lagos, should never be forgotten. In the period following the presidential election and leading up to the governorship election, we witnessed a troubling shift in public discourse. Conversations that should have focused on competence, governance, development, and the future of our nation were gradually diverted towards tribal sentiments, ethnic divisions, and unnecessary suspicion among citizens. Many sincere and well-meaning Nigerians participated in these conversations without realising that they were being drawn into narratives carefully designed by others. Throughout history, whenever politicians find it difficult to compete on ideas, performance, character, or vision, some resort to exploiting the fault lines of ethnicity, religion, and identity. Their calculation is simple: a divided people are easier to manipulate than a united people. Today, I see similar efforts emerging again, sometimes in more subtle and sophisticated ways. Narratives are planted, amplified, and circulated, often by individuals who genuinely believe they are defending a worthy cause, without recognizing the broader agenda behind such campaigns. Let me state clearly that Pastor Enoch Adeboye remains one of the foremost fathers of faith in our nation. For decades, he has consistently preached the virtues of peace, prayer, love, reconciliation, and national unity. Even when faced with provocation, his response has always reflected humility, restraint, wisdom, and grace. At 84 years of age, it would be unfair for young and able-bodied Nigerians to transfer to him responsibilities that properly belong to them. The task of building a better Nigeria rests primarily on the shoulders of the younger generation. It is their duty to lead the conversations, champion the reforms, and drive the positive change our nation urgently requires. We must be careful not to become instruments in the hands of those who secretly nurture division while publicly preaching unity. In most cases, their target is not the individual being attacked; instead, it is the person who is attacking. Their real objective is to weaken the bonds that hold us together as one people and one nation. I therefore urge all young Nigerians: do not allow anyone to recruit you into hatred. Do not allow anyone to weaponise your ethnicity, your faith, or your admiration for respected leaders. Question every narrative. Verify every claim. Follow the facts. Resist manipulation. The Nigeria of our dreams can only be built by citizens who refuse to be divided, who choose unity over hatred, and who place our collective future above narrow interests. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

If Peter Obi had been denied his own ticket in such a way and manner some of his long time lieutenants who have bled for him in the past had been denied, would he have listened to appeals? Did you hear or see the kwankwasiyyas being treated in such a way by the same NDC?

@Esteembehemoth Is there anything wrong with appealing to aspirants who lose in an election to look beyond their loss and look towards the betterment of the country and the party 🤔

Dickson isn't Abure. He isn't a comrade. He is a full time politician with future political ambition. You will notice Dickson allowed Kwankwaso to field all his loyalists in Kano, Taraba, Nasarawa, and other Northern states while he has been dealing with Obi's followers down in the South and FCT. Dickson knows Obi isn't going anywhere in 2027. However, he wants to use Obi to corner necessary loyalists in the South East and South South while building a national name for himself. I assume Dickson and Kwankwaso are having meetings behind Obi scheming for 2031 already while fooling the desperate Agulu man who joined three parties in three months. After 2027 election, Kwakwanso and Dickson will scheme Obi out of national play and form a joint ticket. Be there.

It is how people in the DELUSION think this Dickson guy has integrity!😅😅😅 The man set up NDC not because he believes it can win Presidential elections...but to use it to gather ego from those who are drop outs of APC, PDP and ADC and desparate for elective posts.. ...that is why he is the alpha and omega of the Party and does everything from his Sitting room. Obidients will go to people's mentions to call them mumu but na them be MUMU ANCESTORS ...😅😅 See as Dickson cage them 😅😅😅

This CV Lunatic @OgbeniDipo is now preaching unity bla bla bla. The was the reason why I decided to deal with him without looking back until I was sure that I had completely messed him up. We cannot forget the role he played from the era of Jonathan, and now that we're returning the same energy to his kinsman and he's preaching unity. Mr To Hell With Your Unity.
