This is outrageous. And CPS' has the audacity to, yet again, ask for patience, this time after a 5 year old is hospitalized.

We think CPS may have picked schools for phase 2 busing based on bell times- the below schools all have later starts.
Perhaps this is in order to have drivers available after completing an earlier shift transporting students with disabilities.

We are hearing from parents who have kids at those schools who have not received an email, and we are hearing from parents who did.

He said CPS is rolling out GenEd transpo based on the "Opportunity Index." Good. Equity-focused.

Chicago Public Schools, which had only provided busing to students with disabilities since 2022-23, opened transportation "hubs" at 35 high-poverty schools this month.
They are serving about 330 general education students.

A member's child w/ disabilities rode a van w/ 2 GenEd students in SYE23. He felt included. Then, when CPS cancelled busing to GenEd kids at magnets last school year, 2 GenEd kids no longer had transpo and 1 kid w disabilities rode alone, no inclusion.
Is this fixed CPS?
