This one broke me today.💔 A 38 year old nurse and mountaineer named Saleheh Akbari and her husband Ahmad Khodaei opened their home to wounded protesters who were too scared to go to hospitals on Jan 8 and 9, because the regime was hunting them down. They treated them. Hid them. Saved lives. A few days later, on January 12, security forces raided their house. Ahmad wasn’t home yet, so they waited. When he walked in, they jumped him and started beating him. Saleheh threw herself between them to protect her husband. They shot her in the heart. Point blank. Right in front of Ahmad, and their little 8 year old. She died in his arms. The grief destroyed him. Ahmad couldn’t carry it. He wrote one last letter to his wife, said goodbye to the world and posted it on his Instagram. He took his own life. Two hearts that only wanted to help people, gone. Because they dared to show humanity in a regime that has none. This is what bravery looks like in Iran. And the world keeps scrolling. Share this. Their story deserves to be heard. 💔

Karen Bass was a trojan horse sent to destroy LA Sold as a reformer. Shortlisted as Biden's VP. The media and the Democratic Party who installed her love to avoid her communist past. A Castro apologist. A Maoist cadre. In 2022 she was losing to Rick Caruso. A moderate who ran on cleaning up the city. Obama endorsed her. Biden endorsed her. Harris flew to LA twice. Clinton flew in. Sanders. Warren. Pelosi. Every major union. The entire machine lined up to stop the one guy who wanted to fix what she was about to break. She won by ~90,000 votes. Now the same machine hides her failures to protect their budding communist investment. She promised the world and delivered a trainwreck. The lady who said she wouldn't travel internationally. Flew to Ghana under wildfire warnings when the Palisades fire hit. Fire Chief Kristin Crowley warned her in detailed writing every year. She never listened. $17.6 million cut from the fire department. Engines cannibalized for parts. 1,300 hydrants reported broken four months before the fire. Nobody fixed them. The Santa Ynez Reservoir was EMPTY during fire season. 13,000 homes destroyed because of ZERO common sense. Hey maybe having water is important to fight fires...idk tho. Gross negligence that would put most people in jail for life. But politicians are above the law. When Crowley told CBS News Bass fired her. Twelve Angelenos died in the Palisades. Seventeen more in Altadena. Twenty-nine dead before she finished her champagne in Ghana. Then came the cover-up. The fire department ran a PR operation to protect Bass from "reputational harm." The official report was altered. Bass told the interim fire chief it could "expose the city to legal liabilities." Her texts from the fire vanished. A federal prosecutor had to step in and delay the city's own report. Crowley sued Bass for retaliation. Her lawsuit helped expose the memo and get the cover-up in writing and show the world. Karen Bass promised to end the homeless crisis. She built a money machine around it. $322 million in. $259,000 per person. Less than 1 in 4 stay housed. The CEO she picked gave $2 million in contracts to her own husband's employer. Keep it in the family baby. When the agency's IT chief refused to delete emails Bass sent from her PERSONAL account, they fired her. When a second executive raised complaints, they fired her too. $800,000 in hush money to buy their silence. Staff were told their job was to "make the mayor look good." Karen Bass promised to fight corruption. Funny way to show it when three of her handpicked contractors have been indicted in six months. $20.6 million in "behested payments" to her Mayor's Fund from corporations with city contracts. Outside California they call that extortion. The unions that put her in office got the pay raises. The nonprofits that fund her allies got the contracts. She takes their money. They take yours. But ya let's make sure we tax the rich... City Controller Kenneth Mejia's fraud unit is the reason Alexander Soofer got caught. The dude who stole $23 million of public homelessness money and spent it on himself. Bass cut Mejia's budget. Then her appointees voted 9-2 to ABOLISH Mejia's elected office entirely. Replace the watchdog by a person handpicked by Bass, because her track record shows we can DEFINITELY trust her. This is how dictators work. This is how cover-ups happen. They dismantle the democracy around them. She fires anyone who tells the truth. Deletes every document that would hurt her. Pays whistleblowers to stay quiet. Abolishes every office that could expose her. Where is the outrage? Where is CNN? Where is the New York Times? Where is Gavin Newsom? Ah I know. They are too busy fixated on Trump. Too busy banning Nick Shirley for video taping fraud. And they don't hold themselves accountable, only the other guys. Tell me again how the rich, Republicans and anyone that disagrees with you is corrupt. Tell me again how the media is unbiased and objective. Republicans got two impeachments over cover-ups that weren't real. Here you have one killing Angelenos in broad daylight and no one bats an eye. Karen Bass was never a reformer. She was trained to be something else. She joined the Venceremos Brigade in 1973 to work for the Castro regime. In the 1980s, she joined a Maoist organization. She eulogized Fidel Castro as "Comandante en Jefe" in 2016. Joe Biden almost put her in the Situation Room. She does not govern Los Angeles. She manages her reputation while the city burns. A communist dictator trained in Havana now runs the second-largest city in America. There is a way out. Spencer Pratt lost his home in the Palisades fire. He's running for mayor to burn the machine down. Steve Hilton is running for governor to end one-party rule in California. The June 2 primary is seven weeks away. Los Angeles has one chance to send her home. Fool me twice, shame on me. Don't be a moron expecting different results. Don't mess this up.

Pope Leo grew up in Chicago. I grew up in Lebanon. I wasn't forced to leave Lebanon because there was peaceful coexistence. I was forced to leave Lebanon because Islamic terrorists blew up my home and killed many of the people I grew up with. I wish the Pope would talk to the persecuted Lebanese before making ignorant statements about countries he knows very little about.

I find a lot of the leftist technocratic discourse on taxation so frustrating because it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter whether taxation strategy is optimized or even whether more money goes into the public sector. Who cares? The problem is that an extraordinary amount of revenue (particularly on the state and municipal level) is wasted: it goes to corruption or stupid projects that have no public benefit or fraud or bloated, unnecessary bureaucracies that operate as captive jobs programs. You have huge inputs and nothing comes out. The ‘technocrats’ have no ability to do anything to remedy any of this. They don’t build anything, they turn a blind eye to NGOs that are a black hole for revenue, they won’t bound public unions to keep costs constrained, they get bullied by activists, and frankly they’re just not as smart or capable as they were a generation or two ago (and they’re unlikeable). I don’t want to give them anything and will support basically any political project that will starve them. They end up bleeding productive economic activity and they have no internal bounds on what they will take. The entire progressive technocratic enterprise (from education to ‘climate’ to public grocery stores) is largely a scam that should be either starved (eg, education spending doesn’t improve outcomes) or shut down until it can prove that it can produce meaningful deliverables for the public.

Grocery stores have been ‘solved.’ They’ve been solved. Anything with a 2% profit margin is solved. Maybe you could wring some more efficiency on an industry level with improved logistics but that’s going to an incredibly complex technical endeavor above the pay grade of municipal government. That’s why the ‘public grocery stores’ are such a good example of Dem Soc silliness. They’re a political set piece with ~0% chance of any net public benefit and an extremely high likelihood of wasted resources and opportunity costs.

I genuinely don’t know whether to laugh or lose my mind anymore at this European hypocritical double standards. When it comes to Vladimir Putin, suddenly it’s Churchillian resolve. No compromise. No dialogue. Arm Ukraine to the teeth, sanction everything that moves, wreck your own energy security if necessary - because tyranny must be confronted. Fine. I actually respect the consistency of that … in isolation. But then you turn around and lecture us - us - the Gulf monarchies, Jordan and Israel, about showing restraint with Tehran? About dialogue? About coexistence? Are you serious? For forty years - forty bloody years - this regime has been waging a shadow war across the region. Militias, proxies, sleeper cells, terror networks, destabilizing entire countries - Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen - and threatening the Gulf monarchies, Jordan, and Israel nonstop. This isn’t theoretical. This isn’t abstract. This is lived reality. And yet here come Emmanuel Macron, Keir Starmer, and the rest of the European choir, gently advising us to calm down, de-escalate, and - what was it again? - “give diplomacy a chance.” Diplomacy with who, exactly? With a system that has built its entire regional strategy on plausible deniability and proxy terror violence? You were willing to absorb inflation, energy shocks, and political backlash at home to confront Moscow. You made that choice. You said: this is the price of standing up to a tyrant. So don’t come here and tell us - after decades of being on the receiving end - that we should just sit down, smile politely, and “coexist.” Either you believe in confronting tyranny everywhere .. or you don’t. Macron, Starmer, rest of EU leaders and top bureaucrats should just STFU and spare us the self righteous sanctimonious lectures!🤐🤫

A professor I know (tenured at a public university in Colorado) posted a blog discussion about how American Christians are uniquely wicked and judgmental because they are inspired by capitalism to “keep account” of their neighbors’ sins. I posted a respectful response that in my personal opinion as a gay man, Christians are far more tolerant and fair in their social “accounting” than the anti-religious left. I shared that “Christians-even capitalist Christians-have clear paths for mercy, grace, redemption and forgiveness. The irreligious left offers none of those. That’s why not a single Christian has ended a relationship with me for being gay or questioning the Church, but dozens of non-religious friends have disowned me for simply questioning their tenets such as that men can become women, or that the BLM movement’s violence was justified. I’ve never received a death threat from a Christian.” He asked for examples of non-religious social accounting and I mentioned China’s social credit system and the UK arresting Christians for “thoughtcrimes” such as refusing to use trans pronouns. He blocked me. I’m pretty sure that’s a form of judgmental social accounting, but who I am I to say as a bigoted, capitalist Christian? This professor is an example of who is teaching the next generation.

This is probably my favorite clip ever: "Capitalism created the possibility of the win-win-win. It used to be a zero-sum game where somebody won, somebody else lost. And the biggest mistake people make, intellectuals in particular, they still think we’re in a zero-sum world. They’re obsessed with some billionaires because Bernie Sanders thinks that Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk somehow stole the money from the people. They don’t understand that it’s this prosperity machine that’s creating more, not just for those billionaires, but for everything that they’re touching…” Capitalism lifts everyone up. I agree wholeheartedly with this and the message in it.

STOP SCROLLING. The regime is about to hang a wife and husband together for wanting freedom. Bita Hemmati and Mohammadreza Majidi-Asl (34) were arrested together, tortured into forced confessions, and sentenced to death. Chanting against the mullahs and throwing stones during the January uprising. Bita would be the first woman executed from these protests. This is how the Islamic Republic stays in power: by destroying families at the gallows. Your silence is the rope.

So the Pope met with David Axelrod last week. David Axelrod. Obama's campaign architect. A man who is not Catholic, has never met a pope before, and whose entire career has been engineering political narratives for the American left. And then, by pure coincidence, the Pope immediately started lobbing shots at the Trump administration, and three US Cardinals popped up on 60 Minutes doing the same thing. All organically, I'm sure. I'm a practicing Catholic. I need you to understand that part. But in my opinion, Trump has all the right to lash out at him. Maybe you'll disagree, but in the end, Trump talks like Trump. Water is wet. I'm talking about MY Church being run like a DNC satellite office but with a golden throne. This is the same Vatican that watched governments padlock churches during COVID and said nothing. That let Biden take communion while funding abortion and said nothing. That fired Bishop Strickland for defending actual Church doctrine. That removed Bishop Fernández in Puerto Rico for defending religious exemptions THE CATECHISM ITSELF supports. But somehow Trump is the threat to human dignity. Pope Francis was bad. Leo has turned out to be worse. Francis at least was vague about his politics. Leo went and hired the consulting firm. The man has ignored the slaughter of Christians across Nigeria, the Sahel, India, Syria, Bangladesh, Pakistan. Hundreds of believers murdered, churches burned, pastors kidnapped. His response? Platitudes about dialogue. OF COURSE he won't even name who's doing the killing. But he'll fly across continents to make interfaith gestures the week after his people coordinated a media hit on a sitting US president. The weaponization of belief is obvious. You get the Pope to pick a fight with Trump, and suddenly millions of conservative Catholics have to choose between their faith and their vote.

most modern leftist positions are empirically suicidal and evolutionarily maladaptive. self evidently a death cult the problem is that like any other parasite, it has to infect the host to spread. this is why they're so hell bent on controlling schools and media, preventing homeschooling, importing mass immigration, defining what counts as hate speech etc if the only kids being born are conservative, there has to be a mechanism to spread the ideology. that mechanism is indoctrination

The fertility rate of US liberal White women aged 25–35 is 0.51 children. White liberalism is now a death cult whose value proposition is: “Amuse yourself to death.” Optimize for harm reduction long enough, and you end up optimizing for nonexistence—the only state without pain

NEW: An urgent phone call from Saudi Crown Prince MBS changed Trump’s decision at the last minute: President Trump had intended to declare a complete ceasefire and end the fighting against Iran in exchange for the immediate opening of the Strait of Hormuz. However, a tense phone call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman dramatically changed the plan. According to White House sources, bin Salman begged Trump not to stop the war: “This is a historic opportunity – we must finish the job and weaken the Iranian regime once and for all.” In exchange for continuing the fighting, Saudi Arabia offered an unprecedented package of economic and strategic incentives. Key points in the offer: • $100 billion transferred directly to finance American war costs • Full and immediate normalization with Israel after the fall of the regime • Direct oil pipeline from Saudi Arabia to the port of Ashdod, turning Israel into a major energy hub • Investment of approximately $1 trillion in the U.S. economy + purchase of $500 billion in American weapons • Establishment of a new regional defense alliance, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, and other moderate countries under an American umbrella • Joint naval force to control the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb • Funding of strategic U.S. bases in Israel • Joint reconstruction fund for a post-regime “secular and moderate” Iran In the end, Trump announced a temporary ceasefire, not an end to the war as was expected. Senior diplomatic sources describe the move as “a historic turning point” marking the beginning of a new regional order.

Speaking as someone inside Iran who stayed connected through Starlink during the total blackout, I can sincerely affirm the real mood across the country right now: We are relieved the ceasefire negotiations collapsed. The spirit inside Iran and the genuine desires of the people stand totally against any truce or bargaining with this brutal regime — particularly figures like Ghalibaf, a murdering psychopath who has countless Iranian blood on his hands. Every form of engagement or compromise with the Islamic Republic is strongly opposed by ordinary Iranians. We are determined to complete the uprising we launched in January. Any support the international community — above all the United States — can offer is deeply appreciated. For nearly five decades we have suffered relentless torture, sexual violence, executions, degradation, and sorrow at the hands of this tyranny. The outside world has no real grasp of the extent of our pain. The Iranian public feels zero concern for Hezbollah, yet the regime is ready to endanger the entire nation for them. They have always prioritized their terrorist proxies over the well-being of their own citizens. We exhausted every peaceful option: huge street demonstrations, open resistance, attempts at gradual reform, dialogue — you name it. None succeeded. The regime’s consistent reply has been gunfire, nooses, and fresh waves of fear. With the talks now broken down, I’m writing this from inside Iran with mixed emotions of anxiety, hope and grief. Whatever unfolds from here, most Iranians will feel a sense of release. No price is too steep to get rid of this evil regime and the price of letting this nightmare drag on is far greater, and for many of us, even dying feels better than one more day under these monsters. This reflects the authentic voice of the majority of Iranians — a people who frequently lack internet access, global reach, or any platform to speak. When we lose internet access, the Iranian diaspora becomes our voice abroad. While the ceasefire talks dragged on, they took to the streets in protest, clearly showing the world that we reject any negotiation with this regime and want Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi to represent the Iranian people — because no one inside this regime ever can. As I have said before, the world will soon see why we declare: Anything for freedom. Anything to destroy this evil. #IranRevolution2026#KingRezaPahlavi

True, and most of us who look at issues dispassionately and can change our views when exposed to new, more accurate information would do this. The thing with Woke is that it's tied to their identity. You can't point out the absurdity of Noah's ark to a die hard Christian and just expect them to become agnostic just like that. You can't persuade an Al Qaeda terrorist that their positions are irrational. Modern leftism is a Marxist religion. In Marxism was always a religious, faith based cult. It was objectively discredited a century ago, but it lingers and has evolved because its devotees can't let it go.

I came to the realization a while ago that the one of the functions of modern information programming - the legacy media and other institutions - is the tell us who we're supposed to hate. It's been pretty successful for a while, which is why they continue to do it.
James Lindsay, anti-Communist@ConceptualJames

Most people are looking for two basic things psychosocially, plus a third when they're weak of soul: 1) What group do I belong to? 2) How is it better than the other groups? 3) Which group(s) are we justified in hating (as a matter of group identity)? The first two are key and central belongingness needs that are close to universal. People need to know where they belong and why they can hold themselves in esteem for belonging there. The third, however, is like a methamphetamine that disrupts this system, and many people fall into it. You can bind a group quickly and tightly, despite other differences, by making them hate the same enemy, especially if they get to conclude they're good and righteous people for hating them. This is what the propagandists sell. It is hatecraft, the art of making people hate others in order to control them politically. It works amazingly well even as it destroys the populations that adopt it. Communism, Fascism, Islamism, and Woke are all based on hatecraft, as are many cults. Even when it's reactionary hate with seemingly righteous justifications, it's still hate, still evil, still poison, still destructive. In the end, it's not just destructive outwardly, though. It's destructive inwardly. You define yourself more and more in terms of who you hate until you lose yourself in the bitter wrath. Some lash out, most just become pathetic, in the literal sense of wallowing in negative emotions. Trump Derangement Syndrome is hatecraft. "Pandemic of the unvaccinated" is hatecraft. "White complicity in systemic racism" is hatecraft. "Patriarchy" is hatecraft. "Transphobia" is hatecraft. Israel Derangement Syndrome is also hatecraft. We could go on. Hatecraft is the evil backdoor to self-esteem. It's finding your worth through disparagement instead of on solid foundation. It's also intoxicating until it leaves you broke and broken. You should learn to recognize hatecraft and reject it. You should also mark and avoid the manipulators selling it. They are cult leaders. You are their marks and their puppets, at least if you give in. Banish it from your life while you can! Identity formation is hard, which means it's worth doing right. Don't go cheap here.
