@thejasonkantor @flowidealism @HippyMomPhD @bycourtneym @Homeschool_LLC Thanks, Jason 🙌
Appreciate the direction and connections
English

Not necessarily homeschool specific but @flowidealism is the best education account on twitter by far. @HippyMomPhD is a must follow. @bycourtneym shares fantastic advice, especially for younger kids. @Homeschool_LLC another must follow - hes got maybe the best book on how to get started
English

@Peaceful_Tips Ty!
Something I will research for sure.
English

@PatrickMignault I’ve heard great things about the Ron Paul curriculum
English

@BowtiedQueenBee @educatedandfree @ktidla @rebelEducator @cboyack @myHomeSmithsER @Homeschool_LLC @0riettaRose Ty!
Just requested, looking forward to taking part one Wednesday soon.
English

@educatedandfree @ktidla @PatrickMignault @rebelEducator @cboyack @myHomeSmithsER @Homeschool_LLC I agree with @educatedandfree and also recommend @0riettaRose . She has some excellent resources! Peruse all the things, feel free to use and switch and move curricula frequently.
Hop on one of our Wednesday evening spaces and come join our homeschool community.
English

@bigthinkers_ Thank you, Kyle.
Def sounds like co-op’s are critical.
English

@PatrickMignault My advice to new homeschool families is to find the best homeschool support school/co-op nearby and build your homeschool curriculum off of that. Outside of that we do sports teams, piano lessons and church events.
English

@_NateNorman @Homeschool_LLC @thriving__kids @bigthinkers_ Appreciate you, Nate 🙌
Agreed, gotta take that 1st jump.
English

@PatrickMignault Yea! First advice is just start, find a community where you can get second hand curriculum and a support network after that just know that YOU CAN do it
Here’s a few accounts that could help

@johntufts Appreciate, John.
Will look into these. Have you homeschooled for a long time?
Any challenges at 1st that you didn’t expect?
English

@PatrickMignault We loved the Sonlight curriculum for history, English…, loved Saxon for Math.
English

@HippyMomPhD I love walking by my daughter’s room and seeing her read or read to her younger brother.
English

@Emily_Post_It Appreciate it.
Never realized there would be a homeschool department.
English

@PatrickMignault Homeschooled 3 since 2002.
Know your state's laws (call local school board: they will have a homeschool dept that can help)
Find a local homeschool support group.
Homeschool conventions are usually in May and have seminars, education booths etc
English

@_samantha_joy @HippyMomPhD Followed you and her, thank you 🙏
English

@PatrickMignault @HippyMomPhD is the best follow for all things homeschooling
English

@Investmentkage Appreciate it 🙌
Also, what don’t you work in 😂. Love your work ethic and how you attack each day
English

@PatrickMignault I work in education your district likely has a home school program.
Look there first if you can’t find anything look for something or accredited
English

@lindsaystamp3 Balance is critical.
Being financial free allows one to control their fate vs feeling like we need to take a role for $.
English

@MarketPalmer_ And if anyone tells you they have it figured out, they are lying.
English

@thewealthdad Doesn’t matter, my Packers going to win it all 😂
Go Pack Go!!!
English

@chrisboettcher9 Great tip!
Also recommend buying in cash vs CC. Much easier to stay in budget when you have a set $ amount.
English

@Shady_Crush89 Not questioning the world is different, but we still have control
I’ve changed careers & move across the country with my family for a better life while increasing my salary & net-worth yearly
Was it easy, heck no. But empowering to know that I can change anything I don’t like
