@Gothalion There is a world where they could continue minor development on D2 rolling back systems to the point where the player base was more satisfied while developing D3. No more major expansions perhaps, but some sort of changing world or something. Either way I'd buy in 5 years. #D3

I really hope we see a D3. From my perspective it made sense to pivot to its development after Lightfall and wrap D2 after final shape. But I am not Bungie leadership and can’t pretend to know why choices were made.
The stark truth though, is if D3 truly wasn’t in dev at all and they announced intent to make it tomorrow, it would be at soonest 4-5 years before a launch. The level of systems/engine/progression/structure reworks and building that would need to be done to make D3 the successor it would need to be in the CURRENT gaming landscape would IMO be staggering (and worthwhile)

I keep seeing a ton of Destiny players posting "WE WANT DESTINY 3" on completely unrelated places, like the comments of a random person talking about a completely unrelated game???
Y'all know if you just spam shit everywhere, the sentiment will shift from "Damn, those people are passionate" to "Damn, those people are fucking annoying", right???
By all means spam it under Sony's posts, streams, and whatnot
But spamming it on unrelated places will just get you blocked and it will tarnish whatever good image your movement has.
The Marathon team can't do shit about it. Marathon players can't do shit about it. And by god a random-ass indie developer at Day of the Devs can't do fucking shit about it either. You're just adding noise to the conversation.

@UserDefaz @SneakyBeaver That's a fair point, but I suppose my counterpoint is if this is the last update ever they need to focus on the core of the game which is full team activities. It is unfortunate, but I think they're doing what they think is best long-term. Granted low manners might be here last.

@PensBoozeAnger @SneakyBeaver Yeah but it usually takes a few big patches for new stuff to emerge to make low man’s possible again. If they patch it all now, with this being the final balance patch, it could be locked in forever as not soloable

People complaining that Hunters are dead and have "ZERO" DPS options for bosses because they can't use lucky pants + (insert hand cannon here) for every single thing are being so dramatic.
If you're upset about low man / speed run stuff being affected, sure that's fine. But if you're acting like the sky is falling on the entire class everywhere in the game, this is the same class that still has this, among others that every class already uses.
