So the film is actually based off a real person, who was one of the few Trans women to have a successful sex reassignment surgery and was the first to get a uterus transplant. She's an amazing painter, and actually had a good life with her partners. Her name is Lili Elbe ❤️🥰

I'm so glad people are getting interested on learning about Lili! 😭❤️ Unfortunately the uterus transplant was not successful and was the reason for her death.. But she did have a good life with her wife and her wife stayed with Lili throughout very step of her transition.
