In the viral angle, it appears the man is walking away when he’s sprayed. However, a longer version and the women’s account indicate one member of the group was off camera to the left. They allege the man had been approaching her despite repeated warnings to back away and had advanced in her direction while holding fishing poles before the bear spray was deployed. Moments later, he is seen turning away after being sprayed. The women also allege the confrontation continued afterward, claiming he struck one of them with his fishing poles, damaged their vehicle, and photographed their license plates. The man reportedly filed his own police report. No arrests or criminal charges have been publicly confirmed.
