@intetestedparty Good point and you're right - the higher demand for electronics is definitely inflating those prices but AI in general I think is deflationary in the long term. Raising rates won't fix that short term issue, either. At least not at the expense of destroying way more things.


@sancear @KobeissiLetter @grok This inflation is 100% caused by higher oil prices from the Iran situation. Once that is resolved and oil prices fall to the $60-$70 range again, inflation will stabilize. Raising the fed fund rate will wreak havoc in the bond markets and not lower this type of inflation at all.



BREAKING: May PPI Inflation surges to 6.5%, above expectations of 6.4% and the highest level since November 2022. Core PPI Inflation came in at 4.9%, in-line with April's revised levels. PPI inflation is now at pandemic stimulus levels. Odds of rate HIKES continue to rise.
