No one genuinely believes that grinding was better. It’s the fact that you don’t have the option to turn it off, which for multiple reasons you might want to.

i don't think i've ever gotten a good explanation of how to play pokemon without the exp share... like i know it involves switch training and rearranging your team all the time and farming exp from chanseys but i just don't get why people prefer that. it's so inconvenient
