Here are my stats and highlights from the three games in the 6A State Tournament. Not the finish we wanted but I’m blessed to be part of an amazing family @Mustangbball_ My teammates and coaches are the best in the state. Back to work now for a spring and summer with @MokanBasketball @RonnieMack12 in the EYBL. @NoLongTwos @BMDUBOSE both of these issues happened in the 2024 ncaa tournament and was a pain for the flow of the game.

They have to fix these nets at Lloyd noble it’s ruining teams fast breaks.

There’s nothing more infuriating than listening to well-informed broadcasters in earlier rounds (semis/quarters/opening rounds) because they’ve been around these conferences all year, just for the championship game to get a crew that clearly has no insight into the teams or conf.

An idea I’ve always had for mid-major conference tournaments: Use these tournaments to showcase the skills of broadcast teams that aren’t typically on ESPN’s national stations.

Mount St Mary is so well coached. Constant communication and energy, rarely missed a rotation, and constant reaffirmation from the staff to players. Got to give @CoachDHarp22 , Andy Hamilton and staff a lot of credit for getting the program into the 4A state semis.

2027 TJ Williams of Mount put on a great showing with 17 points in their 48-80 quarterfinal win over Catoosa. Excellent off the bounce, handled ball pressure very well for a player his size, attacked close outs and even displayed some touch with a floater. @TJWillshine

2026 DJ Pedulla of Mount has put his fingerprints all over this 1Q. Applying relentless pressure in the backcourt, outworking Catoosa on the glass, and has read the low man on his drives perfectly. Mount leads Catoosa 28-3 after one. @Deejpedulla24

Last night I witnessed a coach sit one of his star players the second half of a State Quarterfinal game, because the kid got a tech. The kid was a Senior, and they lost the game. I’m know Nate Harris, Lenny Hatchett, Terry Evans, or Jay Price; but what did you teach a kid that won’t be back next year? He screwed every Senior on that team!

2027 6’6 Kamden Adams of Class A Allen was impressive tonight in their opening win vs Southwest Covenant. Adams finished with 22 points 10+ rebounds along with a couple of blocks inside. Showcased solid post strength and touch inside along with a lot of grit on the O glass.

Grateful to be in attendance for the first Oklahoma HS Boys State Tournament game in the new OG&E Coliseum. Class B-2 Dover vs Granite to kick things off.
