Billionaires pay far more in taxes than anyone else does, but even so, most of their money is tied up in stocks and ownership in companies. Jeff Bezos, as per your example, does not have anything close to $222 billion in liquid assets on hand.
If you want to use a fraction of that $222 billion to fund insulin in the United States, then do your damn job and call on your colleagues in the Senate to allocate OUR tax dollars for it. Get off of social media and do something to stop enabling fraud, then work to balance the budget, and put the federal government's tax revenue to good use instead of worrying about what rich people do with their own money that you didn't earn and aren't entitled to have access to.

Malone is right. If this illegal gerrymander passes it means the state has officially fallen, never to return to its former glory. SCOVA is letting it happen so the courts are gone and the GOP doesn't seem to care. Many will be leaving. A sad reality but entirely true.

In my travels around Virginia this past month, I have heard again and again - if the illegal redistricting passes, people and businesses are heading south. That Virginia will be a lost cause for businesses. The exodus from this state is going to rival California's... It is now being predicted that Virginia is going from #1 or #2 for being business friendly in the nation to roughly the #12–#18 range rapidly. Florida is currently #3 in the nation in recent (2025) “Top States for Business” rankings. Other friends in the political sphere say that the Republican party has given up on Virginia. This is why the RNC has literally put no money into the fight to stop the redistricting. They view Virginia as a lost cause. This is disheartening, to say the least.

You have to remember also that in 2020, Virginia Democrats said the bipartisan redistricting commission was critical to “protecting democracy.“
Now they’re throwing it out like a bag of garbage.
