You would drop all of your beliefs up to that point to believe in and love God? Sounds like you'd give in to the pressure and submit. You're right, you'd still have the choice. However, it would be a very clear choice between life and death. Only those who hate God would refuse life, but they would still have to believe in his existence. Going back to my original point, the decision would be a no-brainer for people who are open to the idea of God. But believing only when the evidence is undeniable is not in your best interest. Faith becomes meaningless if certainty is forced. Scripture is clear that God rewards those who seek him (Hebrews 11:6). Jesus commends those who believe without seeing (John 20:29). God provides sufficient evidence for those who genuinely seek him, but not the kind of proof that would eliminate disbelief. We must walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). God wants everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). There are promises for those who find him and accept his will in this life. I hope this doesn't come across as too preachy. I just want to share the things I have found.

@PrevenientPath @Anyachi4ox Personally I wouldn't reject him But I'd still have the free will to do so It would be irrational yes but thats kinda the point No one is out here saying the sun doesn't exist while getting a tan Even with overwhelming evidence, free will remains.I know fire burns but can touch it

Why does God require faith instead of providing clear evidence?

@BarBQ96 @Anyachi4ox If the only rational choice, based on evidence, was to believe in God, would you choose to not believe in God? If absolutely everything pointed to him, if everyone around you fell at their knees in worship of him, if you were enraptured by his love, would you still reject him?

@PrevenientPath @Anyachi4ox irrefutable evidence doesn't make free will meaningless Evidence only affects belief I mean You know fire exists but you have the free will to touch it Also how have we become blind to it? We can know things right?

@BarBQ96 @Anyachi4ox You're right, revealing himself is revelation. But that's not my point. God already reveals his existence and love in countless ways. We have become blind to it. My point is that irrefutable evidence would make free will meaningless. God respects human agency.

@truckinatheist1 @Anyachi4ox Open your eyes. Look for it. Stop rejecting it in place of the foolish wisdom of men. The evidence can only be seen by faith.

@truckinatheist1 @Anyachi4ox I do know he exists. But to answer your question, because there is an adversary that must first be defeated. For now, it requires an element of faith. It's your choice whether you love God.

@PrevenientPath @Anyachi4ox What evidence are you talking about? And why is your god so concerned about belief? Why does he seem so opposed to us actually knowing he exists and being able to make an informed choice on whether to worship him or not?

@truckinatheist1 @Anyachi4ox My point is that either God must force everyone to believe in him, or not everyone will believe in him. There's evidence all around us. Seek, and you will find it.

@PrevenientPath @Anyachi4ox This doesn’t make sense, god proving his existence wouldn’t “violate free will”(god does this all the time in the bible so I don’t knot why he would care) because I would believe he exists, but I absolutely wouldn’t worship him.

@0xTommyGenesis @Anyachi4ox You didn't quite make contact with the point. Either God must force everyone to believe in him, or not everyone will believe in him.

@Wurstbrotbaum @Anyachi4ox You and several others missed my point: either God must force everyone to believe in him, or not everyone will believe in him. Seek, and you will find the evidence.

@FratellisDragon @Anyachi4ox You missed my point. Either God must force everyone to believe in him, or not everyone will believe in him. Plenty of people already believe in God due to the boundless evidence. If you truly look, you will find it.

@PrevenientPath @Anyachi4ox God should never have given us free will. We are in multiple messes bc of free will. God knowing he has pure intentions didn't NEED to give us free will. All destinations would lead to divine human if he just controlled the narrative.

@joyjuice3333 @Anyachi4ox My point is that either God must force everyone to believe in him, or not everyone will believe in him. There's already endless evidence of the existence of God. Only those who actually look for it will find it though.

@PrevenientPath @Apologetics941 @DrFrankTurek You didn't read it very careful. It says Israel is the servant, "to bring back the besieged of Israel," as well as be the light to the nations. It says so explicitly: "And He said to me, 'You are My servant, Israel, about whom I will boast.'" 49:3 It doesn't get any clearer.

Isaiah 49 verses 5-6 would be a logical paradox since Israel cannot be the servant to rescue Israel. Isaiah 42:19 calls God's servant blind and deaf, but the Suffering Servant in Isaiah 53 is described as completely innocent. 53 also describes the Servant dying as a guilt offering for the sins of others. A sinful nation cannot serve as a perfect sacrifice.

@PrevenientPath @Apologetics941 @DrFrankTurek Wrong. The servant is Israel, as Isaiah states many times in 42-53, suffering for the sins of the nations (i.e., you). The messiah builds the 3rd Temple, which triggers the nations to recognize the Jews were right all along. Then they beat their swords into plowshares etc. Isa 2:4

@kidAonX @Apologetics941 @DrFrankTurek There will also be a return of the Messiah. The Old Testament seems to describe three different roles for the Messiah. The first is suffering servant (Isaiah 53, Psalm 22), the second is war king (Zechariah 14, Revelation 19:11-15), and then finally peace bringer.

@Apologetics941 @DrFrankTurek The Biblical prophecies say that the messiah brings world peace and causes the nations to get rid of all the swords, though. Isaiah 2:4

@GovernorVA The fact that you think it's okay for 51% of voters to vote the voting power of the other 49% down to 9% is actually unhinged.

The Supreme Court of the United States has now joined the Supreme Court of Virginia in choosing to nullify an election and the votes of more than three million Virginians. These Virginians made their voices heard — casting their ballots in good faith to push back against a President who said he’s “entitled” to more seats in Congress before voters go to the polls. As Governor, I will make sure voters know when and how to cast their votes this year. Because our votes are how we choose the representation we deserve.
