Billy Donovan was asked, with regards to those who might not play so much, how much these guys can develop with film and away from the court. Donovan said “experience doesn’t mean growth.” “You throw a guy out there there, he’s just running around and playing, and you say ‘oh, good.’ Again, I’ve had guys throughout my career that have had a lot of experiences and there hasn’t been great growth.”

Jaden Ivey was held out of the rotation entirely in the first half. As a restricted free agent who felt like one of the Bulls most intriguing deadline acquisitions, that really is a head-scratcher.
