Forever thinking about how there was a scene filmed for The Rise Of Skywalker where Kylo Ren uses The Force on Chewbacca’s mind, only for it to completely backfire when Chewie’s memories remind him how much Han actually meant to Ben growing up. It ultimately was cut from the final film for being a little too dark, but it’s such a great character moment that I’m glad still exists within Episode IX’s expanded novelization. Would love to see the deleted scenes from this film one of these days!

@bones4918 The one on the left is unused concept are for the villain in Episode II which eventually evolved into Count Dooku. Ventress was based on this art. TCW is stylized to look like the old wooden marinate shows that Lucas grew up watching.

@mandalorymory @Libriomancy101 The Force has never been a "genetic superpower." Midichlorians were just the physical phenomenon linked to the Force that everyone has. More Ms just means you are more naturally sensitive to it. This can be inherited but not always. It's destiny thing.

It’s a bit confusing, tbh. The OT initially gave the impression that anyone with enough commitment could learn to use the Force, but the PT made it exclusionary as a genetic superpower which I think kinda sucks. I think the best interpretation is that while anyone can become a devotee in the Force, not everyone has the innate ability to use it like a Jedi does. This is what creates the distinction between someone like Chirrut Imwe and an actual Jedi.

Sabine is the entire reason I got into writing fanfiction. Star Wars Rebels was such a special show to me and she was my favourite character. I hate what this show did to her. She was destined to be a Jedi’s 10/10 Mandalorian wife and they turned her into a Jedi girlboss.
Marauder Matt@marauder_matt

I think the rejection of Sabine becoming force sensitive and this mocking idea that “anyone can use the force” is completely antithetical to what the force represents and the real world magic/mysticism that inspired it. Why would we ever look at the Force as something exclusive?

@LavenderGhast For the same reason the Jedi did. It was simply easier and less time consuming to train young Force sensitives.

If anyone can have the force with training why did the Sith ever struggle with their numbers. Why did they have to hunt down force sensitives rather than just training anyone to become an inquisitor. And Sabine becoming a Jedi takes away from what made her special and the concept that just because you lack talent in one area, doesn't mean you can't find the thing that makes you special. Now she's just another force user gifted with magic powers.

@BlossomAnalysis I refuse to believe Filoni had significant influence in the creation of TCW 1-6. Other more skilled people were doing the work and he was just the poster boy due to connections.

@TheCinesthetic This is an old school mentality. Since nerd culture had become mainstream, people forgot why fans often had to hid their interests.

Remembering Alec Guinness (1914–2000) on his birthday. Thinking about the moment he told a young Star Wars fan who’d seen the film over 100 times to stop watching it.

@AvatarKyber They are not meant to be that interesting. They are just mid-tier villains meant to job to the heroes so that Vader doesn't get over utilized.

The Inquisitors have largely been a failure as a narrative concept since the Canon reset and their existence is more to Star Wars’ detriment. There’s only been one (maybe two) stories where having them has actually been worthwhile for the Star Wars chronology.

The Inquisitors in MAUL - SHADOW LORD are more “horrifying” than ever, says supervising director Brad Rau. "We talked a lot about [how] we wanted these Inquisitors to be as creepy as possible, creepier than we've ever seen them: horrifying, in fact.” (Source: gamesradar.com/entertainment/…)

@DennisGill10 @DarksaberLight Dooku talked to Sidious about this in Tales of the Jedi. He knows that Maul is just basically a tool welded by his master. He also understands Palpatine's retort that things like this happen in war. It shows how far he had already fallen.

Thinking about the Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir arc (which was supposed to be part of TCW S6). Obi-Wan just lost Satine, and Tiplee (both voiced by Anna Graves) asks him about her before being impaled and dying in Obi-Wan’s arms just like Satine did. Cowboy Man when I find you

"Your world exists because of satan." Yeah, that's the problem, you retarded fucking gimp. Were it not for him, we'd be in Eden, the closest thing to heaven on earth. Instead we have to settle for this: A world in which murder has existed since the first generation of children.

The latest Invincible episode is literally Satanic Propaganda. It's not even canon to the comics. They had literally no reason to do this. Fuck this show

@degrapas2 @author_pandp Kirkman explained that this is a story he always wanted to tell for the comic but didn't have time to fit it in. The author/creator decides what is necessary. If this offends your religious sensibility then maybe you should take the time to figure out why.

@eelsnescalators @ManMilk2 Jedi strive for justice, not vigilantism. They also know better to cause issues on a planet controlled the Hutt as they are seen as representatives of the Republic. Openly freeing slaves or killing slave owners in this context could cause an intergalactic conflict.

@masseslee @Kerrcarr01 I mean it's dead obviously that real life has a lot of grey aspects. Lucas isn't denying that. He is defining in simple terms what is good and bad in life so that kids have a basic understanding. Because it is easy to lose track of that later in life.

@Kerrcarr01 In short Star Wars is for kids as George’s always said good vs evil it’s that simple but grown fans want to look deeper than just black n white and that’s why they get upset when things like a “grey Jedi” aren’t canon they can’t view Star Wars as children

George Lucas on the Force: "The core of the Force. I mean you got the Dark Side and the Light Side. One is selfless. One is selfish. And you want to keep them in balance. What happens when you go to the Dark Side is that it goes out of balance, and then you get really selfish and you forget everybody. And, ultimately, you lead yourself, because when you get selfish you get stuff or you want stuff and when you want stuff and you get stuff then you get afraid somebody’s going to take it away from you whether it’s a person, or a thing, or a particular pleasure, experience. Once you become afraid that somebody’s going to take it away from you or you’re going to lose then you start to become angry especially if you’re losing it. And that anger leads to hate. And hate leads to suffering. Mostly on the part of the person who is selfish because you spent all your time being afraid of losing everything you’ve got instead of actually living. Where joy, by giving to other people, you can’t think about yourself and therefore there is no pain. But the pleasure factor of greed and of selfishness is a short-lived experience. Therefore you’re constantly trying to replenish it. But, of course, the more you replenish it the hard it is to sort of…so you have to keep upping the ante. You’re actually afraid of the pain of not having the joy. So that is ultimately the core of the whole Dark Side, Light Side of the Force. And everything flows from that. ... The only way to overcome the Dark Side is through discipline. The Dark Side is pleasure, biological, and temporary, and easy to achieve. The Light Side is joy, everlasting, and difficult to achieve. A great challenge. Must overcome laziness, give up quick pleasures, and overcome fear which leads to hate." Why do so many people think balance in the Force is equal Dark and Light when Lucas made it abundantly clear that was not the case in the films and in interviews?

@fandompulse I don't think anyone seriously argues for equal uses of the Light and Dark. Balance doesn't necessarily mean a equal 50/50. Everyone naturally has the Dark Side to them. Lucas explains doing good things in life helps tip the scales so that people are not constantly miserable.
