@Kerrcarr01 I’ve always said Storms of Crait should’ve been an arc of SW’15. I think it would’ve been handled a lot better that way.

@SCentralized I wish that Storms of Crait had more time to bake into the oven imo I understand making it a TLJ comic but it could be published after!! There was still tons of hype and other projects

@SCentralized Ngl I kinda hate the ambiguity here So the rebellion constructed the base, maybe from the ruins of the last one, but we don’t even SEE that in the comic, they just drop off some weird AAT’s and Ski Speeders, right? Did I miss a page??

Returning to the book that I burnt out on a few years ago. No promises on a review for this one, I did drop it at 300 pages originally. Got the SFBC hardcover this time, which is cool. Love the cover on this.

Star Wars is inspired by like 0-3% of Dune and would still exist without Dune. If we are powerscaling cultural impact, there is no argument. Darth Vader’s breathing alone mogs any iconography from Dune. Lets be serious

@Kerrcarr01 That’s like 99.9% canon, just add in “Leia brought some more ski speeders to add onto the ones that were already there”

@SCentralized My synthesis is that Breha and Bail made a functional base from an abandoned mining colony, then fortified it, then the rebellion came and resupplied it a bit, then TLJ comes around.

Wook says that the ski speeders in TLJ were recovered from when the Alliance tried to reopen the base, but the TLJ Cross-sections book says that Breha’s rebel cell bought them. Wook uses Storms of Crait as a reference but they aren’t at the old base in there, right?

@Kerrcarr01 If my memory serves me correctly the tunnels connected to the trenches out front come out in the main loading area just inside the door

@SCentralized I haven’t played BFII yet (did play BFI) do we know where the trenches lead to?

@Kerrcarr01 My reckoning with that line is that they meant exits that aren’t to the salt flats where the FO is… even if it doesn’t make that much sense

@SCentralized Trench doors kinda make sense since those are underground, but also kinda goes against the whole “one way in one way out” idea in TLJ. Even though that likely wasn’t always the case.
