Everyone needs to calm down about women. We are past the "women are inferior and subordinate" stage. We are past the "all women should be a SAHM" stage. We are past the "women shouldn't vote" stage. Women aren't inferior to anyone. We are strong and capable in our own right. Women aren't trying to be men because men should not be the ideal we should strive for. We were meant for greater things. We have choices now. If a woman wants to be a SAHM mom, we support that. If she doesn't, we support that too. If she wants 10+ children, as long as it's her choice, we support it. If she wants to remain childless, she has our support. Women occupy space in this world, and we are going to continue to occupy spaces where decisions are made that involve us or affect us. Women have the right to vote and we are going to continue to vote. If you don't like the way we vote, keep in mind we aren't thrilled with the way you vote either. Maybe you are the problem. The more you attack feminism, the more we double down. We do not have rights because men allow us to. We had rights all along, men just kept them from us. Stay strong, ladies.

Mansplaining is kind of just how men talk. In the same way that women figure out problems through venting out loud, men figure out their solutions by explaining through their models of how things work. It's (usually) not condescending.

“Women are just as bad as men.” Okay. Then show me men being gang-raped by women at scale. Show me adult women trafficking adult men for sexual exploitation. Show me laws written to control men’s bodies and reproductive autonomy. Show me sororities known for drugging and raping men. Show me men living with the threat of gender-based acid attacks. Show me men being killed for rejecting women or for trying to leave relationships. When those things start happening on a systemic level, then we can have a conversation about women being “just as bad as men.” Until then, stop pretending the scale of harm is the same.
