As a woman I am extremely aware that the reason I have my rights is because a woman somewhere got up, got MOUTHY, organised, raged, made herself INCREDIBLY inconvenient until things changed for the better for all of us. Which is precisely why I see women who uphold the patriarchy as traitors to all women.

I’m a school nurse. We have a rule. Kids without lunch money get a cold cheese sandwich. Nothing else. It’s policy. This boy came in one Wednesday. Sixth grader. Stomach pain he said. I’ve been doing this twenty years. I know real stomach pain and I know hunger. “When did you last eat?” He looked at the floor. “Yesterday lunch.”
Sent him to the cafeteria with a note. Told them to give him a full hot meal. Pasta. Salad. Milk. The works. Cafeteria lady looked at my note. Looked at me. Gave him the tray without a word. He ate like he hadn’t seen food in days. Probably hadn’t. Came back to my office after. “Am I in trouble?” “For what?” “For eating.” “That’s what food is for.”
Started keeping granola bars, peanut butter crackers, juice boxes in my bottom drawer. For kids who come in with headaches that are really hunger. Stomachaches that are really empty. I’m not supposed to. Technically against policy. Don’t care. Told my principal once. She looked at me for a long moment.....
Opened her desk drawer. Showed me her stash. Crackers. Fruit snacks. Applesauce. “What drawer?” she said. We never spoke of it again.
That sixth grader is in high school now. Came to find me last spring. “I just wanted you to know I’m okay. And that I remembered. I always will.” He volunteers at a food bank on weekends. Has since he was thirteen.
Best granola bars I ever bought.

In 1980, Jean Hilliard survived being frozen solid after a car accident in -22°F (-30°C) weather in Minnesota. After walking two miles for help, she collapsed just 15 feet from a friend's house and was found six hours later with skin too hard for a needle to pierce.
Her heart beat only 12 times per minute.
Doctors wrapped her in an electric blanket, and miraculously, Jean's vital signs returned. She spent 49 days in the hospital and made a full recovery.

It’s a general belief that women especially, and some men, only do relationships because of the financial benefits.
That may be true, but not in all cases.
There are still people out there genuinely seeking to build
something lasting, even if it means starting from scratch.
Money matters, sure, but it’s not the only thing that makes someone valuable. Please note this
If money is the only value a partner has, that says more about the relationship than the person.
And if that’s the standard, then everyone loses.
Start a relationship because your chosen partner adds important and real values to your life.
Not just because of their financial status
Respect.....Connection.....Support...... Character.......these are the real currency in a healthy relationship.
Let’s not reduce people to just what they provide.
All that glitters is not gold......
Ngwanu, let me just come and be going 🚶🚶🚶🚶

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but it’s time to trust like Sarah.
Sarah waited years for God’s promise to come alive in her life. She laughed, doubted, and wondered if it would ever happen. But God’s timing was perfect. What seemed impossible became inevitable because God is faithful.
Some of you are waiting on promises. You feel overlooked. You feel like your season has passed. You wonder if God even remembers your heart’s desire.
Take heart. God sees you. God hears you.
