@ShippersUnbound This book is a far more revealing read about who Starmer is and how he got to be PM. The mainstream media have largely ignored it. I wonder why.

ANALYSIS: So much to dissect from Robbins' evidence. My main takeaways: pressure to appoint; dismissive attitude to vetting; not outright vetting failure rather it 'borderline'; PM should have made it clearer he really cared about it (evidence suggests his team didn't). Where does it leave PM? Guns loaded for later

@DPJHodges Au contraire, Robbins is confirming that due process was followed despite pressure being placed on him

There is now no ambiguity. Keir Starmer lied and lied and lied again when he said due process had been followed in relation to Mandelson's appointment.

One thing the local elections will underline. It’s not just that the Labour vote is imploding to the Greens and Reform. The Muslim vote, previously a bedrock, is also going to fracture and get hoovered up by a rag-tag coalition of independents. And that’s an existential moment.

Keir Starmer is pretending to have a Love Actually moment. But in truth he's too weak, too indecisive and too wedded to inaction to properly stand up to Donald Trump > Mail on Sunday > dailymail.co.uk/columnists/art…

@StevenBartlett Ah stop. You need empathy for this and Chase seems to have been short changed in this department.

Imagine that you could tell when someone is manipulating you? To help teach you how to do that, I’m joined today by Chase Hughes, a behavioural expert who’s trained military and intelligence agencies, and his last appearance on this show has been watched over 5 million times. Chase has spent years studying human behaviour at a level most people never see. His work focuses on how influence actually works and how trust is built, and how easily both can be used against you. That’s a big part of why I wanted him back. The first time he came on this show, the response was huge. I had messages from people all over the world saying it completely changed how they see relationships and even themselves. What Chase does is take something that feels invisible and make it visible. The signals people give off and the ways we’re influenced without realising it.

Brown suggests Starmer will be judged in matter of months - 'He wants to do the right things. Perhaps he's been too slow to do right things, but he must now do the right things now. And let's judge what he does on what happens in the next few months when he tries to, and I believe will try to clean up the system' - not a completely ringing endorsement of the PM from one of his predecessors this morning

@afneil We did not leave the EU in 2016, rather 2020. And thanks to the “Boris wave” we had net immigration of 1.6m between 2019 and 2023 which would more than account for our economic growth. The pair of you are frauds

When Reform gets to 30% or a bit above and the other votes are split between four parties, all with pretty low shares, the parliamentary seats start to collapse Reform’s way, big time. And polling seems to be settling down to roughly these vote shares, though Reform could rise a bit more while Labour and Tories decline a bit more. If this is the new direction of British politics we are on the cusp of a major upheaval.

This article is great. Except it's a decade late. I have no time for those who "gave Trump the benefit of the doubt" for ten years and now want to be hailed as courageous truth telling heroes. It's always been blindingly obvious who Trump is. They enabled this catastrophe.

Keir Starmer flew to Madeira first class on British Airways. He demanded to be allowed to board after everyone else had and that the curtains to the economy cabin were closed. He was booed by some passengers once his presence was known according to a flight crew member
