Are you rethinking the relationship with NATO, possibly getting out? Trump: "It's certainly something that we should think about. I don't need Congress for that decision". Under 2024 NDAA the president can't “suspend, terminate, denounce or withdraw” from NATO without Congress.

If Trump wants more than strategic advice from Europe on the Strait of Hormuz, the price should be a gigantic US military aid package for Ukraine to compensate for the additional oil revenue Russia is receiving due to the Iran war. Military aid. Not contracts paid by Europe.

If European nations help Trump resolve the Strait of Hormuz situation, they should begin by offering strategic advice to help the US develop a plan. The most important help the US needs is grown up supervision. If the delinquents are willing to listen, then perhaps we can talk.

Hard decisions for European leaders over Hormuz. Trump's juvenile military galavantry is 100% responsible for this situation. He should take full responsibility for resolving it. But the hard reality is that a prolonged US failure to do so will cause a global economic meltdown.
