@Parasite Real research on 8kHz controller polling shows it's hype feels snappy but CPU strain + input drops hurt aim consistency in CoD. 1-2kHz is the sweet spot for reliable performance. Best move for gamers? Stability over speed every time. 8k can hurt fps as well.

Randon controller rant: Call me faded but at least on dualsense edge pc my game and aim consistency on 1khz polling instead of 8k feels so much better. Been messing with controllers for a while and i havent felt that type of consistency from server to server in ages. Theres merit to this as well considering gaming mice are the same 8khz is marketed but often the benefits of using such are non beneficial because you need to tweak so many things for small negligible performance improvements that you might not even benefit from. Your games run worse. Your pc does too. Some games cant even handle it. etc etc. Gonna test my marius board this week as well on different polling rates to find something consistent. Also if you dont have certain refresh rates monitors you wont even notice polling rate differences as it also applies with mice.

Finally getting voice chat in Raft? That's gonna make yelling at sharks with friends so much more fun . Cross play is huge too now I can team up with my console buddies without the hassle. Quick tip Stock up on those early trash items for raft upgrades it saves you from wipeouts later. Hyped to jump back in!
