If the Pirates don't think they can afford to extend Paul Skenes, they need to cash out in a trade before it's too late.

@jmarshfof Are you accepting a newly vacated position with the league office to oversee goaltender interference rule implementation?

Projected starters in New York.

Genuine question. If Shea is out beyond today, who is the best available partner for Letang right now?

The Penguins have signed forward Bill Zonnon to a three-year, entry-level contract. Zonnon, 19, was selected 22nd overall in the first round of the 2025 NHL Draft -- one of three first-round picks. He spent the 2025-26 season with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada of the QMJHL, recording 14 goals, 32 assists and 46 points in 35 games. Zonnon missed 29 games at the start of the season due to injury. A knee injury in the preseason forced him to miss the prospects challenge. He sustained a second undisclosed injury in November. Despite missing that much time, his 46 points still rank sixth on the Armada. Zonnon can turn pro next year because he is coming off his fourth season in the QMJHL. -- From Chris Halicke in Uptown
