🚨 Rodri: “I have nothing against Vini Jr… I have maximum RESPECT for him, for everything he did that Ballon d’Or year too”. “It’s other people who decide who wins the Ballon d'Or. They tried to put us against each other, but that’s not the case”.

@SelecaoTalk Brazilians have already noticed that Vini Jr. is a club player, not a national team player. But the leftists at the CBF insist on a national team selected based on ideology, not competence. Brazil bids farewell to the World Cup today, even before it begins!

🚨🇧🇷 | Vinicius Jr is facing criticism in Brazilian media because he was laughing and joking with Mbappé and the French players after such a poor individual performance.

I'm based in France, but 43% of my audience is American. I know many of us are in the same situation. To reach a wider audience, all my posts are in English, the international language. Those who cause trouble may be punished, but with this change, which will significantly reduce our earnings, you're also penalizing a number of accounts that use the international language without any ill intent. X tells us that videos and new, high-quality content will be prioritized, but this change will, on the contrary, drastically reduce our earnings. Is there any way to reverse this decision, please?🥺 @XCreators @X @nikitabier @elonmusk

Starting Thursday, we'll be updating our revenue sharing incentives to better reward the content we want on X: We will be giving more weight to impressions from your home region—to encourage content that resonates with people in your country, in neighboring countries and people who speak your language. While we appreciate everyone's opinion on American politics, we hope this will disincentivize gaming the attention of US or Japanese accounts and instead, drive diverse conversations on the platform. We invite creators to start building an audience locally. X will be a much richer community when there's relevant posts for people in all parts of the world.

I've been a scout in European football for 11 years. 7 of those years I spent feeding reports directly into Barcelona's youth recruitment pipeline. I'm going to tell you something about this club that gets buried under the noise of transfer sagas and financial disasters and whatever drama LaLiga manufactures for television. Barcelona doesn't find players. It finds ideas. And Lamine Yamal was the purest idea I have ever seen walk through those doors. I was in the room the first time the La Masia technical staff sat down with his early footage. He was 8 years old in the clip. Eight. And the conversation in that room wasn't "is he good?" It was "does he understand the game the way we understand the game?" Because that is the only question that matters at La Masia. There are hundreds of technically gifted kids who move through that system. Most of them leave because they can play football but they cannot THINK football. Yamal thought football at a frequency none of us had seen since — and I know how this sounds — since the old Messi scouting reports that circulate internally. I've read those original assessments. The language the coaches used for young Leo and the language they used watching young Yamal overlap in ways that made grown men go quiet at a table. The thing about La Masia that outsiders never understand: it is not a skills factory. It is a philosophy transplant. We are not teaching boys how to dribble. We are teaching them to see space the way a chess grandmaster sees the board — four or five moves ahead, before the ball even arrives at their foot. Most academies in Europe produce players who react. We produce players who predict. I left Barça formally in 2023 but I still speak to people inside that structure regularly. And what I hear now is that the current group — Yamal, Cubarsí, Gavi when fit, the kids coming through — is the closest this club has been to a real identity rebuild since Guardiola's first season. Not a rebuild bought with Saudi money or Abu Dhabi oil. A rebuild grown in the dirt of their own philosophy. Real Madrid will win trophies. They always win trophies. You know why? Because they spend. Because UEFA decisions tend to land the right way when their lawyers are the ones making calls. Because they have a commercial machine that makes them impossible to kill. I have watched Real Madrid get absolutely dominated for 80 minutes and win 3-1. That is not football superiority. That is institutional power. Any honest person in European football will tell you this after their second drink. The most dishonest conversation in football is the one where Real Madrid's Champions League record is treated as a quality argument rather than a structural one. Barcelona, at their best, beat you because they are more intelligent than you. Their players positionally destroy your players mentally. When Xavi was 26 years old in that midfield, opposing coaches would literally tell their midfielders to foul him early — not to stop him physically, but to disrupt his rhythm because they knew if he got comfortable, the game was already over. You cannot buy that with a Galáctico cheque. The thing about Yamal that I want people to understand is this: he is not the next Messi. That comparison does a disservice to both of them. Messi was from another planet. Yamal is from La Masia. He is the distilled product of everything that institution spent 40 years building. When he plays, you are not watching one boy — you are watching the accumulated football intelligence of a hundred coaches and a thousand hours of internal debate about what football at its highest form should look like. I've been asked by clubs in England and Germany to consult on their academy structures. And every single time I walk in and see what they prioritise — physical metrics, sprint data, peak output — I understand immediately why they will never produce what we produced. You can't measure football intelligence on a GPS vest. You can't find it in a VO2 max test. You find it when you watch an 8-year-old receive a pass with pressure coming from his left and he doesn't control the ball toward safety — he controls it directly into the most dangerous position on the pitch because he already knew where the danger was going to move before the ball reached him. That's what Lamine Yamal did at 8. And if you've seen him this season, you know he still does it. Just now the pressure coming from his left is a 28-year-old international defender and the dangerous position he's moving into is a packed final third. Some things don't change. Greatness is consistent. The real bombshell? Every top club in Europe had access to that footage. Inter were interested. PSG ran numbers on him. Three Premier League clubs had him flagged. Every single one of them passed because their models said he was "too slight" and "inconsistent in high-pressure defensive transitions." Barcelona said: he doesn't need to defend. He needs to destroy. And they were right. That is the difference between a club that understands football and a club that buys it.
