So much of Canada’s military capability, and nearly 20% of our economy, relies on satellites.
We’re making an historic investment toward a Canadian-owned launch pad to send satellites into orbit — strengthening the @CanadianForces, our sovereignty, and our economic security.

Pizza Hut's co-founders, Frank and Dan Carney in the 1970s. The brothers started Pizza Hut with $600 they borrowed from their mother in 1958. They purchased second hand equipment, and rented a small building in a busy intersection in Wichita, Kansas.
Brothers Frank Carney and Dan Carney built one of the world’s most recognizable restaurant brands from remarkably modest beginnings. In 1958, the two college students opened their first pizza restaurant in Wichita, Kansas, using a $600 loan from their mother to buy second-hand equipment and lease a tiny storefront near a busy intersection. The building’s sign only had space for eight letters, which is how the name Pizza Hut was chosen.
The concept took off quickly. Within a year they had opened several additional locations, and by 1969 the brand introduced its now-famous red roof restaurant design, which became one of the most recognizable fast-food architectural styles in the United States. By the early 1970s, Pizza Hut had expanded to hundreds of locations across the country and internationally.
In 1977, the Carney brothers sold Pizza Hut to PepsiCo for roughly $300 million, helping transform the small Wichita startup into what would eventually become the largest pizza chain in the world during the 1980s and 1990s.

Trump just threw Israel under the bus—claiming the U.S. “knew nothing” about the strike on Iran’s South Pars gas field—despite earlier Axios reporting it was coordinated with and approved by his own administration. Trump is now trying to distance himself after the fact, as the consequences of that strike are unfolding in real time.
