Proudly representing Henderson, Polk, Rutherford &McDowell counties in the NC House of Representatives.

I have the worst news... Sadly, two young North Carolinians have passed away after being hit head-on by a drunk, illegal alien with a previous DUI, Juan Aguilar. The victim's names are 20-year-old Fletcher Harris and 19-year-old Skylar Provenza. Juan has previously been charged with a DUI, had multiple failures to appear in court, was driving on a suspended license, but was never deported. Juan also cannot speak any English at all and required a translator in court... He is also listed as a WHITE MALE in the charging documents.

🚨 BREAKING: A federal audit found 54%, MORE THAN HALF, of commercial driver’s licenses in North Carolina were improperly issued. So today, I led a letter to @NC_Governor demanding immediate action before this failure puts lives at risk and costs taxpayers nearly $50 million in federal highway funding.

🚨#BREAKING: Democrat Charlotte NC Sheriff Gary McFadden, is now under investigation for, "attempted extortion and corruption..." A NC state rep says the sheriff THREATENED her if she voted in favor of an immigration bill the required sheriffs to cooperate with federal immigration officials: “I don’t want to see you get hurt; you live in my county…” The state representative said the comment sounds like the mafia trying to manipulate a business owner by saying: “Nice little store you’ve got there... it would be a shame if anything happened to it.”

At an NEA conference, teachers were instructed to never question a child’s “transition,” warned about “dog whistle” language, and coached on handling political “villains.” ➡️ nypost.com/2025/12/16/us-…

The NC House is fighting for the RIGHT budget for North Carolina.

.@RepJakeJohnson has proudly served the people of District 113 in Western North Carolina for three and a half terms. Since his first day in the General Assembly, Representative Johnson has prioritized free-market, limited government solutions that get government out of the way and empower people to be the best version of themselves. Whether it’s school choice, regulatory reform, or government accountability, Representative Johnson has been a strong voice for his constituents. He has opposed top-down solutions to health care that merely grow the size of government and instead has embraced policies that cut regulations and are driving costs down. We are excited to support Representative Johnson’s reelection bid. #ncpol
