@valigo I figured that you needed xcode / mac to sign the binaries, but having a way to actually cross compile from one platform to the final executable (even if you need to do an extra signing step, which is not that hard and can be easily automated into the build) is actually huge!

Jai is so based - I can build Android apps without touching Android Studio, or dealing with Graddle directly at all (I guess apart from running an actual emulator lol). There are just modules that let you define everything in Jai, invoke NDK and so on.

It depends all how much features you want to put into an app. Just a quiz app with one page would not take that long. This one is about the complexity of Duolingo. Infinite questions and topics, ELO system, achievements, socials, streak system, daily quests, friend quests, in game currency system, etc. 200k of functional code, so a medium sized app, would take about one year for a team pre AI.

In the past 3 years, I haven't noticed any uptick in release speed for software I use. If productivity is increasing, I can't tell as an end user. I have noticed decreases in uptime, increases in bugs, and a HUGE increase in people bragging about how many PRs per day they land.
