Yesterday, I launched the “Lightening Kampala" campaign in partnership with friends from the United States. In collaboration with Philips,led by Mrs. Martha,the initiative aims to distribute lighting equipment across Kampala’s ghettos.And was officially kicked off at Katwe Market

I Joined parents & students of Luzira Secondary School for a fundraising drive to build new classrooms. Urged parents to support education & prayed for candidates’ success. Guest of Honour Waggwa Nsibirwa emphasized applying classroom knowledge to real life.

Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro & others appeared in court on unlawful drilling charges, but media restrictions raised transparency concerns. Critics warn it could limit access to information, weaken accountability, and erode trust—highlighting the need to protect press freedom.

Today, I attended D.E.A.R Day at Castle Junior School in Kazo, where I encouraged pupils to embrace reading, research, and stay focused on their studies, while also inspiring them to take on leadership roles and grow as future leaders.

We held a successful retreat at One Love Beach,Busabala, bringing together elected MPs,District Chairpersons, and Mayors. The President, H.E. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (Bobi Wine), addressed us virtually, offering valuable guidance. The meeting strengthened unity and commitment.

I have seen baseless reports from a number of news outlets alleging that we are in negotiations with government over a dignified return of our President @HEBobiwine and that’s NOT TRUE! The National Unity Platform will today issue a statement to clear the air over the same!

As young leaders seek mentorship from me, I reflect on my own journey shaped by my mentor, Bidadi Saali, who guided me from my early days as an LC II Chairman. I’m grateful to have visited him in good health and appreciate those caring for him. May God bless you 🇺🇬 🙏.

Today, alongside fellow leaders, we visited Katwe Market to support traders affected by the recent fire. We donated 230 iron sheets from partner companies and thanked the Buganda King for his solidarity and commitment to rebuilding efforts. Together, we will rebuild stronger.

Today, I joined the Muslim community at Mbogo Mosque in Kawempe for Eid prayers. In my remarks, I encouraged the faithful to maintain the discipline, patience, and devotion they demonstrated throughout the holy month of Ramadan, even beyond this season. Eid Mubarak to you all!

Today, I flagged off Eid items for our comrades in prison ahead of tomorrow’s Eid celebrations and later visited Luzira Women’s Prison and Luzira Remand Prison while other leaders visited the other prisons. Our duty to each other remains unwavering. Eid Mubarak 🕌📿

Together with the Lord Mayor elect @RonaldBalimwezo , we attended an ESport Conference. As sports personalities(tennis and boxing respectively) we understand the importance of sports to this growing population of young people. It’s is more interesting how many young people can turn their passion of gaming into income generation. Our role as leaders is to support through legislation and infrastructure development to enable our youth get more employment opportunities.
