This is silliness. Of course it's both - you can be ethnically English and English by nationality and there's no need for us to erase our national identity to be a tolerant nation. If a person born in England, for example, has Pakistani parents they're English by citizenship but not by ethnicity

Everyone tweeting moaning about Ben Davies speaking Welsh, I was at the press conference, there are Welsh language television channels here and they asked him questions in Welsh so he responded in Welsh. It’s not that deep

@mikemoves12 Tbh the Tories haven't done a great job on stemming illegal immigration,and suggest more legal immigration to combat inflation. I suggest it's the centre left and right of politics that push for a cheap work force to keep wages down. So Tory/labour equally to blame.
